My family loved the sound of the running river, paddling in the water and hiking through the trees. House was exactly as it was described, perfect for a group of 5. Beautiful view from deck. Questions answered quickly. Definitely would recommend this place to stay. From Wisconsin and England
Beautiful location, peaceful, quiet and close to the South fork of the Merced River. Cabin was super nice and clean. The back deck was used a lot with a gorgeous view of the river. Everything went smooth with booking and check out.
This was a great property overlooking the river. Loved being inside the park and in walking distance to the Pine Tree Market. The home is very welcoming and has everything you need for a relaxing stay, especially after a day of hiking. Thank you for opening your home to us!!
This property is ideally located with an amazing view of the river from the back deck. The local market store is a 3 minute walk and you’re right in the national park. We loved the wood burning stove which kept the house toasty. Everything you could need was there. This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature.

Gorgeous view. Had everything we needed for cooking. Bed was comfy. Definitely would stay again if I’m in the area.
We were familiar with the area, and were fortunate to have great weather for March. Wawona is peaceful compared to Yosemite Valley. Since we knew that we brought all of own food along, otherwise it’s a distance to a restaurant. The kitchen is well equipped for food preparation. This is a lovely property for a family/friends gathering.
It was a wonderful place to stay in. Beautiful, peaceful place next to the river; with trails and a store to walk to and from. Kip was very helpful and welcoming. And all the wonders of Yosemite right beside !
We, being 2 families (7 people in total), had the most amazing stay at the property. The location is just divine with the river and brilliant rock jump just a stones throw away and it’s close to all the best sightseeing locations in Yosemite. Would definitely recommend!!!
Beautiful location with the sights and sounds of the full river in the “backyard”. It’s as the photos show - felt like a trusty old family getaway. Owner was quite responsive.
The cabin was neat and cozy and the kitchen was well equipped. We spent little time in the cabin because we preferred to be outdoors. It was wonderful going to sleep to the sound of the rushing river. Yosemite is an awesome park with amazing hikes and views.Kip was very responsive to questions we had.It takes about 40 minutes to get to the center of the park but it’s a much shorter time to Glacier point and Mariposa Grove.
It was probably too much space for us but the location on the water and inside the park was too good to pass up. I loved the kitchen (we cooked a lot) and the back porch. It had everything we needed and more.
the property was great for the 3 adults we had traveling, clean, gorgeous views and good kitchen. The host is responsive and we had everything we needed. our only comment is the comfort of the couch. since our stay was in winter over xmas, we spent time indoors at night and the couch was not ideal for football and movie watching.
Great house with views for days in a great little neighborhood within the park. Kip is very communicative. Great nature hike right outside the back door.
We loved our stay here. It would be hard to top the splendor of Yosemite but coming “home” to this cabin was close. It was so peaceful and beautiful! The river rushing by the property, the brilliant stars at night, drinking our morning coffee on the deck with the river our view…wow! It doesn’t really get any better.
My husband and I came to see Yosemite from Ohio and spent 2 nights in this property. Everything was clean and worked out great for us. We didn’t spend an exceptional amount of time there because we were in the park most of the day but would have liked to have more time to spend seeing the area around the house.
Had a wonderful stay at Kip’s house. Communication was very easy and he’s very quick to respond. The house has a beautiful view of the river. Will book again. Thanks!
