Lovely quirky hotel in the city centre , friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast , lovely touch leaving gluten free biscuits in our room along with the tea and coffee. Would definitely book again.

Amazing location, a few steps to the Shambles, restaurants, pubs and York Minster. Really great breakfast in the morning as well. Room was clean and cozy, bed super comfortable. Would definitely rebook if visiting York again.

The receptionist was very welcoming on arrival and we were checked in speedily. Our bedroom although small was well designed and very cosy. We ate an excellent dinner in the Forest Restaurant and breakfast was equally as good.

The whole experience was top drawer. The service was friendly, efficient and easy going, the bed was the best I’ve slept in in a hotel and the room lovely with a great shower. Breakfast was included with a variety of choice based around local produce and generous portions. The hotel is in a beautiful listed building that the owners have preserved and modernised in perfect harmony. Location - two minutes from the Minster in the heart of old world York - perfect. We will definitely be back.
