I quite enjoyed the "adults only" features this time. With that said, in Mexico 18 years of age is considered an adult, so there were lots of 18 somethings at this property which in my opinion were less well behaved due to no children present. I consider you as still a child at 18 and the apparent focus for most of them were shots, shots, shots!!!! There is pool bar (urine bar) that most stayed at until someone threw up in it and the mass exodus of them headed to our QUIET pool! Still lots of partying but most of us who were there for rest and relaxation found it easy to do so.
If you were here prior to the remodel of the property, I can say to you that it still maintains much of its opulence. The restaurants we're much to be desired and do not have the same feel as previously, as they are trying a more minimal approach. Guacamole, in particular was terrible and stripped down. Their food offerings are exactly what you will find in the Buffet dining room and.... no more "flaming" coffee!!!!!!! The Steak house was decent, if you could get a reservation. The food portions are HUGE but could be a bit more focused on quality and not quantity. Most of the shows, meh! We've stayed here 6 times and will return again. I'm giving it a year or so to smooth out into a well oiled machine before I return. They were just 5 months into their re-open and it showed. The "Elite" is an unnecessary attempt to make those of us who did not pay the extra $1200-1400 feel second class!
