"This a great place to stay if you are looking for a typical Japanese hotel with a hot spring in the hotel and within walking distance of the Zao ski area. The hotel is clean and comfortable. They have a nice lounge area to relax after skiing. We had 1/2 board that included a typical Japanese breakfast and dinner - both expertly served and outstanding. Highly recommended hotel!!!"

"We had a room with half board and enjoyed the 24 hr Natural hot spring within the hotel. Free shuttle to the bus station after check out was helpful as it snowed the night before "

"Incredible stay at Gokan no Yu Tsuruya for a ski and onsen vacation. Staff are incredibly friendly, the private and public onsens are phenomenal, and the room was just what I needed to enjoy 5 days in Zao. I'd recommend booking breakfast and dinner ahead if you plan to stay in for dinner. Options around Zao were at times slim, particularly late in the evening. Highly recommend Gokan no Yu Tsuruya to anyone looking for a relaxing way to spend some time."
