The coastalpods were much more than we thought. Beautiful position, great for 2 couples and within walking distance to town. The concept and thought in converting containers to accommodation is excellent. Would have loved to stay longer.

Complete luxury
This is complete luxury. I can’t think of anything that was missed. It’s convenient to a hotel and takeaway, quiet and all the extra touches were included .

Unique design
We stayed for one night, as a stopover. The design and style was a pleasant surprise, unique and a great use of disused shipping containers. The pod is also very spacious and thoughtfully laid out, maximising both space and light. The views and setting are very relaxing, on the river. The town of Wynyard itself has little of interest; there are a few good cafes (much better than the breakfast on offer at the adjacent motel), but not much else.

Hi anonymous- thanks for your review of the Coastal Pods. I'm so pleased to read you enjoyed your stay. Sorry to read you didn't find much of interest in Wynyard as there are many local attractions, a lot of cute home wares shops, local produce markets, river front walks, fossils, beaches and waterfalls in the area but of course that may not hold everyone's interests. Glad you found a good breakfast for yourself in town. Most people enjoy our buffet brekkie at the motel, as we have our home made jams, home made muffins, croissants, kind island cheese and ham platter, house made muesli, coconut chia pots etc on offer, but I guess that's not for everyone. Hope the rest of your trip was enjoyable and suitably interesting! Kind regards

You have got it all so right! Brilliant! Loved the quirky sense of humor, Most definately be raving about my time in your Coastal Pod. Beds so comfortable, bath deep and luxurious complete with bath bomb. Could go on and on. Thankyou for a wonderful holiday experience.

Beautiful space to enjoy the river view!
The coastal pods were perfect for our stay in Wynyard. They have been beautifully styled with a relaxed, coastal feel. The location is great being right on the rivers edge. Highly recommended!

A lovely surprise
100% happy with our stay in the Pod House. Beautifully styled with all you could need for a relaxing and luxurious stay. next time will definitely stay for more than 1 night.

Beautiful relaxing setting looking over the river.
The rusty old containers hide the most beautiful rooms I have ever come across. Large airy rooms tastefully decorated with a seaside theme with all you would need for an extended stay to make it just like home, music TV, games, etc.

Absolutely Amazing experience
What an experience from the friendly and welcoming staff to the luxurious inclusions of the accommodation. The kids just loved it (as did their parents). This is a must do for something a bit different and to spoil yourself.

Wonderfully quirky place for a retreat weekend
If you like relaxing in lovely peaceful surroundings with water views this is the place for you. Well appointed accommodation with great hosts. A wonderful place to unwind.

Great place to chill out in out of the way locatio
The pods are very comfortable and really thoughtfully well equipped. Right on the waterfront looking out at the bay and boats. Probably a better location for the warmer months rather than late Autumn or Winter.

something different with luxury
the uniqueness of this accomodation was intriguing and the product delivered. The pods are spacious, luxurious and have everything you need for one night or one week. The layout provided for privacy for bedrooms and bathrooms while providing excellent indoor and outdoor space for relaxing, cooking etc. The quality of the inclusions was exceptional and nothing has been left out.

When we first arrived the staff were so friendly....they showed us to our pod showing us how every thing worked...the pods were spacious and clean and amazing to stay in...we would highly recommend these and will hopefully stay in these again in the future
