This was our second stay at Panorama (previously known as Tidal Waters Resort) for 1 night on 13 March 2022. Our first stay was in April 2017. We were in standard king bed room #13 on the ground floor with a "garden" view. The garden view consisted of looking into a few bushes. The Resort is not that far from the shops in St Helens.
The large room had a fridge, TV, and deck with chairs. Wi-Fi is available in the room though it was poor. There is no air-conditioning but they do supply a noisy pedestal fan. Even though the room and bathroom were large, the showers are still very, very small. We assume the space is to allow for spa units (in other rooms).
When we arrived there was no staff at reception. It was only 6pm (we were told over the phone that a staff member would be there until 8pm) but no one was around. There was not even a sign to advise how to check-in. I managed to get someone's attention in the restaurant who was able to assist.
Nothing has changed at this accommodation since 2017. It feels deserted, but you can hear the guests coming and going. We did not eat at the restaurant this time. I am not sure we will give this place another chance with our next visit.
