We really enjoyed our stay here. The motel is on a private access road, with the beautiful Inglis River in front of the rooms. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. Just a short walk to the centre of Wynyard with some great dining options. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

A great location and a great renovation
I was very pleasantly surprised by this motel. It appears to have been quite an ordinary motel built in a prime location, and recently the owners have made a concerted effort to take advantage of that location. My room was beautifully refurbished with classic furniture and modern bedding with a lovely colour scheme. The bathroom is nicely redone, too. There is a small kitchenette kind of space, which is nicely painted, but perhaps the furniture could have done with an update... but none of this overshadowed how impressed I was with the attention to detail. A great location in Wynyard, and a great renovation of an old motel.

The property had a very clean, neat and comfortable room. The coffee was delicious; it is one of the few accommodation venues of this type that I have encountered with a coffee capsule machine (and capsules) in the room.

Had a wonderful stay at Burnie Airport Motel. The room was nice and clean with a well-stocked mini-bar, and the motel is located near to a bunch of food options (including a great pizza place called LadyBugs pizza). Nice view of the Bass Strait in front of the motel as well!

Relaxing, peaceful, stress free, friendly, helpful staff. To walk out the door and 10 metres away is a brilliant boardwalk along side the river that you could walk, jog or just sit on the scattered bench seats and watch the yacht’s bob up and down in the water.

Perfect stay!
Friendly staff & clean room on the river! The room had everything we needed! We had a little trouble finding it as it was hidden from the main road which is a good thing!

Reception were kind enough to prepare the room beforehand as we were late to checkin. Rooms very clean, cozy with beautiful views out to the lagoon. Signage was funny, yet got the message through and reception were very friendly and helpful.

A really gem of a place
We spent 5 days at this beautiful and perfect place. We finished a multi day hike and we're lucky to find this hotel, it was a great place to recover and explore the surrounding area. The staff were fantastic and the owner was super friendly and ensured we enjoyed our stay. Their breakfast was very good value. We would go back.

Great location
From the beginning I knew I would enjoy myself. A friendly welcome set the tone for this beautiful location. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were wonderful. What a place to view the sunrise as well.

Saggy bed not a very nice to rest pillows bulky and uncomfortable cleanliness good. No shampoo (empty bottle in shower).

Hi Gerry What a shame you didn't come and see us directly with your concerns we could have fixed all of them for you. With respect to the beds, they were replaced with medium firm beds less than 4 years ago, so I'm not sure why it was saggy for you, but I will have the housekeepers check all the beds for any damage that may be causing the sagginess. With respect to the king pillows, we do have alternative flatter pillows int he cupboards for our guests, but I'm guessing you did not find these. With respect to the empty shampoo bottle, again, our houskeeping team are generally very thorough in checking for empty bottles, but if they miss them, all it takes is a quick call to reception and we can replace it instantly for you. Unfortunately we were unaware of all of the problems you were having, so I feel terrible we weren't able to make things better for you on this occasion. Thank you for letting us know now of your concerns so that we may improve on our service and offering to avoid a similar problem in future. Kind Regards

Surprise Find
Found the accommodation a real surprise with renovated rooms and very friendly staff who endeavour to go that extra step in customer service which is rare these days. The location is perfect and tranquil by the river.

Nice hotel the room was clean and tidy but it is a little outdated. They could have a duel flush toilet and a new tap system in the hand basin so you can wash your face with warm water not cold . The manager was lovely and very welcoming and helpful. Great fish and chip a walk away at the wharf.
