This was to be a girls' weekend trip. We arrived at the hotel and went up to our room. The swinging latch was keeping our door open, thus our room was unsecured upon entering. Used the sink to wash our hands and the faucet does not come out far enough into the sink, water went all over the countertop. Our room smelled of stale cigarettes. We went down to the car to get our things and there were some unsavory people standing outside the hotel and we also smelled marijuana. Upon reentering the hotel, there appeared to be a woman in there who was attempting to negotiate a cheaper rate for her and her friends. Given all the above, we decided it would be better to visit the Wingate down the street and we felt much safer and had a wonderful visit to Wilmington.
