"Modern hotel well kept. Disappointing staff service as a football match was on. Hotel bar tried to close early, expensive for a basic service level. But would probably stay again as amenities where good. Not cheap for what it is."

"We had a lovely long weekend stay at Emilyn House.A few minor things caught us out - no washcloths provided with the linens, no detergent for the washing machine, and no dryer, and while a French Press was provided, our group of 5 had to keep refilling it for coffee. The house was lovely, updated, and we enjoyed things like the heated towel rack and floor in the bathroom. Parking was easy and it's very convenient for Whitburn and the surrounding area, including walking along the coastline. We would stay again."

"There was no heating on during my stay; the room was cold. The TV on the wall had no nearby socket to plug it into. The lamp on the table had no socket to plug it into. Two of the pictures on the wall were shocking. The curtains were back to front: the right side faced out, and the lining faced the room. Moreover, they were really thin with lots of human hair between the lining and the curtain. "
