"Room was very spacious for a single with an ensuite, plus bed was ultra comfy. Lovely little hidden gem and also the breakfast was a good body warmer and hearty stomach filler for a cold Friday morning in December. Will be back to stay here if I’m in the locality "
"Typical country pub, great room. Great sunday roast and also a superb breakfast with good service. Parking local to pub. Good facilities and WIFI available, TV on aerial, so not great, but not a problem with other media available."
"The house was spacious, cosy, and welcoming and we were enjoying our stay.Unfortunately, our experience was ruined on the last day due to an honest mistake with the check out date. We thought it was Saturday at 10 but it was actually Friday. When we got a call around 1pm asking why our belongings were still there we rushed back (about 20 minutes away) to pack up.When we arrived, the owners were cleaning and were shockingly rude. Instead of speaking to us calmly, they were confrontational and insulting, calling us “disgraceful,” “disgusting” even saying we “lived like pigs.” This was extremely hurtful and absolutely untrue. We have 5 star reviews from all other similar propertys we’ve stayed in and always leave places spotless. Had we realised the correct check out date we’d have tidied as we always do.There was also an earlier issue with the tumble dryer and washing machine. The dryer was stacked directly on top of the washer with no support. During a wash, it shook so much the dryer fell forward and damaged the socket. We explained honestly but were accused of lying. They also questioned our use of laundry facilities and products, even though the products were left next to the washing machine and the machine was noted as available on the listing. It’s a real shame because the house itself was lovely but the owners’ attitude turned what should have been a great stay into an upsetting experience.Nice house if you don't meet the owners!"
"A wonderful gem in a stunning location. The pub is great, the accommodation comfortable and good value. The food we had was lovely from a menu with good variety.
The owners and staff were friendly and helpful.
Very happy to recommend "
