"This was our second stay at The Tavern and we will most definitely return. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have all the amenities available. This time we stayed in the room with the amazing bath. Sadly we didn’t have chance to use it as only stayed for one night. The breakfast is wonderful and certainly set us up for the day. The owners and staff are all very friendly. We look forward to our next visit. "

"We found the property to be comfortable and had everything that we needed for our stay. The location was good for visiting Kendal and Sizergh Castle areas plus there was a nice pub within walking distance. Only negative was the train noise especially during the night. "

"My husband and I felt at home from the very first moment. We were impressed by the beautiful accommodation. Everything is lovingly designed and tastefully furnished. The house has a very homely atmosphere. The bathroom is one of the nicest we have experienced and we have never been lucky enough to have breakfast in a conservatory while watching so many birds, which was really touching. Our hosts kindly provided us with an identification book and a tip for a great bird song app.And: the charging station for our electric car was invaluably helpful!We slept wonderfully and did some lovely walks in the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and around the cottage.
