"Unexpected expenses. You gotta pay for parking either way. Room was clean and nice. Bed was uncomfortable towels was like sandpaper and there's no microwave. I've machine is on odd floors and one didn't work. "

"I really enjoy staying at the Charleston Marriott Town Center. The staff is great and the room is always very comfortable and inviting. I always have a few drinks at the bar with some food and have yet to be disappointed. "

"The hotel says in the description that valet is available for $10. The first night we were informed we could self park due to short staffing and the second night they said they don’t have valet it’s $10 to self park. So not only are they still advertising valet parking but they’re charging the same for you to South Park that they were charging for valet. The facility seems to be getting worse each visit. The showers have grime and what looks to be mold or mildew in several spots. The evening staff on the first night was not friendly and even made a comment about people using third parties to book. The night staff the second night insisted the room they gave us had a couch which I paid for and it took me telling him my husband was in the room now for him to believe me and when shown a picture of the accent chair he suggested maybe it was a sofa chair. We were moved rooms. The water pressure dropped in the middle of the shower. We have stayed here numerous times in the past and it seems the place continues to go down hill. It’s very disappointing."

"Pet friendly though they charge a $75 fee for a pet. This is not disclosed on their website. Also the phone number for the front desk does not connect you to a real person if you have questions, it reverts you to a reservation line."

"The rooms are newly remodeled, but they are pretty much sticklers on not allowing check in until 4 pm, even if rooms are ready. We did not find that there was a hot tub. Take photos of any emails or postcards for complimentary rooms or special promotions. We found they did not show up and you had to have proof and find a manager to have them reinstated. The new breakfast buffet is an upgrade and we enjoyed the chicken and waffles, but especially the waffle machine. Overall, it was very good."

"Excellent property. Clean room and property. Staff friendly and helpful. Stayed twice and would stay again. Easy on/off highway and plenty of restaurants within easy access to hotel."
