"Staff were very friendly. On arrival we were shown to our room which was clean warm and comfortable. Stayed two nights as was due to visit Highclere Castle the following day. They also serve food which was ideal. This is a lovely rural pub with lots of character log fire oak beams etc would definitely recommend. "

"The staff and check in were great. Room standard is fine but cleanliness not up to scratch. It was obvious after spending a little time in the room no furniture had been moved during the clean (hair scrunchies under one chair, litter under another). Also the kettle was full of loose limescale. The biggest issue is the room location - room 306 faces the car park meaning cars, guests and the general public (who use the car park as a shortcut) passing close to your window noisily and frequently...

"Good hotel, stayed there previously. Staff, food and hotel are really good, parking can be an issue if you arrive late as spaces get full quite quickly. Breakfast needs to be topped up faster at peak times."
