"The property was absolutely lovely. Perfect for what I was looking for. Close to the main town of Glastonbury as it took a short drive to get there. The accommodation was very clean. Towels and linen provided and kitchen equipment was very good. Bed was very comfy and I loved the lighting in there. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Would highly recommend and when I go back I would love to stay there again "

"Cheddar and the surrounding area is such a lovely part of the country and the Gatehouse matched that. The bed was large and very comfortable, the lounge perfect for snuggling away the evenings and the shower particuarly good! Parking also could not have been easier. Do note though, a lot of the roads in the area are narrow and twisty without footpaths so a small car is preferable and beware when walking them."

"This is a good apartment as it’s so close to Cardiff by road or train. It’s also very close to local shops and a 15 min walk to the lovely pier and beach. What the ad doesn’t tell you is the apartment is at the side of the train stop that runs every 15 minutes. We chose it as it had parking but again once we booked, it’s not suitable for a large vehicle which we have. The toilet seat in the en suite is too small for the toilet so went flying. We have friends in Penarth so was a good stay to...

"Stayed many times in recent years and have never experienced any major issues. This time our room (310) was booked on the third floor which was not accessible via the lift and as I have mobility problems I asked for one that was. The lady on reception found us a suitable one (205) quickly. Excellent service from her and all the other staff members we had dealings with during our stay !!"

"Parking was excellent plenty of spaces. Room was clean and functional though i found the bed very hard. Receptionist was a joy, very pleasant and helpful. Excellent role model. Barman was slow. "Firstly can I say the staff were fabulous and very accommodating! It was the hotel itself that’s in need of some tlc. I paid extra for a nicer room, my friend had booked the more basic room so was interesting to see that both our rooms were identical except for the decor. Our room (142) had a horrendous smell of sewerage coming from the bathroom. The hotel must be aware of this as there was a plug in air freshener to disguise the smell in our room but not in our friends room where one wasn’t required. The tv in our room didn’t work. It would switch on but nothing else would happen. I didn’t inform staff as we were out most the day and only stayed one night. Also the shower in our room was scolding hot. I went to wash my hair and eventually gave up as I couldn’t stick the heat. Obviously turned the tap to cold and this made zero difference. Again I didn’t mention as we only stayed the one night. Shame as it had potential to be a lovely stay. Beds were comfy!"
