"This was an excellent place to stay. We were given a warm welcome by the host and several dogs! The tiny house was in a paddock with sheep, a horse and chickens but was so peaceful. It was very clean and comfortable and, although compact, it had everything we needed including some breakfast items. We enjoyed listening to the birds and loved it so much that we wished we had been staying longer. If you want a peaceful retreat, this is the place to go."

"2 bedroom unit was perfect for our family of 4. Beds super comfortable. Serviced daily with new coffee pods and towels for pool/shower. Friendly reception staff. Kids loved the daily riddles, jumping on bouncy pillow, swimming in the pool (which was perfect temperature for young and old), visiting Beach Road deli or Surf Shack for good coffee and food. Thanks for allowing us to make memories with the 3 other groups of family we stayed with."

The Atrium Apartments

8/10 Good

"The apartment had a fantastic harbour view and was in a great location, with the beach, harbour, and restaurants all nearby. It was a lovely spot to stay and conveniently located for exploring the area. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning, which could make the apartment quite hot during the summer months. A portable heater was provided, which would be useful during colder weather. Overall, a great location with beautiful views, but the lack of air conditioning is something to consider if you’re planning to stay during summer."

"Staff were very helpful with planned late arrival. Instructions were easy to follow and arrival was smooth. The unit is next to a busy road and is very handy to the expressway to Tauranga and Mt Maunganui - which meant finding it was easy. But as a result there was quite a bit of traffic noise. We booked the two bedroom unit with fold-out bed for our 5th family member. The fold-out was broken and when pointed out to the management they said this was normal and all the units had similar fold-outs. We have used fold-outs extensively and this is not normal. As a result our son has aggravated a back spasm so unfortunately we will not be returning to this property."
