Spacious Barn suitably for all generations
Hi Carolyn
I just wanted to say we had a lovely week celebrating my Mom 70th Birthday in your beautiful home which had plenty of space to accommodate the number of people and all different generations the eldest been 94!, the barn was well stocked in addition to the popular pool and table tennis tables there were plenty of books, games and dvds to choose from as well as the amazing garden to explore and the weather was in our favour.
The beds were very comfortable and we all enjoyed a restful week.
We had a few minor issues Carolyn response was quick thorough and she took on board our comments.
The Barn is perfect for a relaxing and tranquil escape from the everyday rat race.
Wonderful, thoughtful welcome package, especially the wine, much appreciated by the birthday girl. A very well-equipped house in every way, so cosy but spacious. Amazing location with superb gardens and orchard.
We all loved exploring the grounds and finding the various, stunningly located chairs and viewing points plus the walk down to the beach.
Great games of football in sunshine and sometimes rain, but the weather didn’t detract from what was a most wonderful half-term holiday. Wish we were still there and so we would love a return visit.
Thank you for this opportunity to enjoy such a wonderful house.

Amazing house. Perfect for my whole family to get together.
We had a wonderful week here. The house was amazing. The table tennis table and pool table prompted huge long running tournaments over the week and Epphaven beach at the bottom of the garden is spectacular and beautiful. Made even more so by the lovely clean surf we had there for a few days.

We were a family group of 13 which included 5 children. The house was perfect for us, spacious with an amazing garden. The children loved exploring the garden . We all loved the beaches nearby and the surfing. We celebrated our Golden Wedding while we were there and had a really great week. We were also so lucky to have wonderful weather the whole week !

Stunning House and Superb Gardens
Our family of 11 grandparents, parents and children, had a fabulous holiday here. The house is magnificent. Beautifully maintained, all bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs, with the first floor having the giant games room/sitting room, and the vast kitchen/dining room. As well as pool and table tennis, the sitting room has a world class collection of DVDs. There are also several other sitting areas, inside and outside the house, ideal to escape from other members of the family. The grounds are fantastic - a beautiful, old-established valley garden, leading down via two ponds to the SW Coast Path.
Brilliant place - worth every penny of the rent.

Beautiful!
From the minute we arrived we fell in love with house. Absolutely stunning, and the location too. We had six teenagers with us and our German Shephsrd and the house and gardens were perfect for everyone. I loved the aga and actually spent a few evenings lying next to it with my book.
We had a couple of BBQ's in the courtyard in the evening sun , and the kids played ball and ran around in the garden most days. We took advantage of the beach being so close and every morning we walked along the cliff top with Snoop Dogg.
The games room was perfect when it rained and when it was sunny the wooden sun loungers were out of this world!! So comfortable!
Thanks very much , we will be back!

Wonderful Family Christmas
We spent Christmas in the Barn and had a wonderful time. There were 10-14 of us including elderly parents and we were all extremely comfortable. Carolyn is so helpful - nothing is too much trouble - and it was a pleasure dealing with her. There were a couple of minor niggles - the Aga was on a go slow despite it having just been serviced. Maybe an additional hob/oven would be a good idea because Agas do have a habit of being termperamental! My sister and daughter shared the bunk room (nicknamed The Jane Austen Suite for unmarried ladies!) and they had no mirror and because of the design of the bunks couldn't sit up in bed to read (I appreciate this is really a child's room but I'm sure has been/will be used by adults) and a TV aerial serving the downstairs TV so that we could have split up and watched different channels (something that happens with a larger group) or parked 'the olds' downstairs to give them a break from the noise of the pool table. Other than that, the Barn is fabulous and I would highly recommend it. The location, just off the coast is great and the walk down to the cove was very enjoyable and easy.

A wonderful secluded home with great access to the best of North Cornwall.
We spent a lovely week at Portreath Barn exploring the gardens and nearby coast line. Our family are surfers so access to Polzeath was easy and the house is beautifully fitted out with everything we needed for our half term break. The barn is ideal for a family or a larger group with good sized rooms and plenty of entertainment for the teenagers. The big sofas, open fire, table tennis, pool, Sonos system and huge selection of DVDs meant we always had great evenings after a busy day on the beach. The beds are really comfortable with French doors opening onto the garden. There are sitting areas on both floors to enjoy with coffee and look out at great views. There was plenty of drying space for surfing kit and we enjoyed cooking on the Aga which was a first. This was a really easy luxury house to live in, a fantastic holiday home and we all loved our week.
