Il Poggiarellino is a Tuscan farmhouse surrounded by an olive grove and expanses of golden wheat. The house overlooks Volterra, an ancient town of Etruscan origin whose gastronomic excellences are known all over the world. The house, with a magnificent view of the amber hills surrounding Volterra, has been renovated with quality materials. With large outdoor areas for relaxing in, there is also a swimming pool overlooking a beautiful picture-postcard panorama. The rooms, in typical Tuscan tradition, are furnished in a simple and functional style with unique views of Volterra. Il Poggiarellino is an exclusive destination where to spend an unforgettable holiday, immersed in the unspoiled nature of a quiet location. Its strategic position allows you to quickly reach the numerous picturesque medieval borghi of San Gimignano, Montecatini Val di Cecina or Lajatico, with Bocelli's famous open air theatre, or the golden beaches of the Tyrrhenian coast.

Interior:
The farmhouse has two floors divided into 5 apartments, comparable to suites, guaranteeing the most exclusive privacy. On the ground floor are three units, the largest ( App. 1) of which is composed of a living area with TV, kitchen with dining area, a twin bedroom with joinable beds, a double bedroom and two bathrooms with shower. Also on the ground floor, with independent access from the outside, are two suites ( App. 2-3) with a small living area, double bedroom and bathroom with shower. An external stone staircase leads up to the first floor with two suites ( App. 4-5) with independent access, one with a living area, a twin bedroom with joinable beds, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower, while the other suite consists of a small living area, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
Air conditioning only in the bedrooms.
Park:
The park surrounding Il Poggiarellino is embellished with large areas of lawn and bordered by hedges to ensure your privacy, all surrounded by vast expanses of wheat and olive trees that will frame your unforgettable holidays. In the large garden you will be greeted by an explosion of colourful flowers while a corner dedicated to aromatic herbs will be at your disposal for you to create typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine. Within the park are numerous shaded areas, ideal for relaxing in, while under the pergola and on the panoramic terrace you will find comfortable sofas and armchairs.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
At the disposal of guests looking for refreshment and relaxation is the swimming pool set in the park just a short distance from the house and overlooking a unique panorama. The rectangular pool, measuring 8 x 16 m with the depth ranging from 1.40 to 2.50 m, is lined in sky-blue PVC with a travertine edge and has chlorine purification, internal lighting and Roman steps and iron ladder (in the deepest part) for access to the water. Paved in prophyry slabs, the solarium area is equipped with comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas and there is a cold-water shower. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.
