This is an awesome place, on a great spot among ancient stone houses in heart of Tuscany, close to beaches, ancient towns, with all necessary amenities, most welcoming host and especially cosy terraced garden. We had to promise our kids we will come back - which we definitely will.
A truly wonderful stay here in Bibbona. Well appointed property with many thoughtful touches such as cantucci(you’ll find out how nice they are dipped in vin santo), and coffee for the nespresso machine. The terraced garden is stunning. Beds are comfortable, and property is very clean.
A few things of note for visitors from USA or Canada - while the house has two bathrooms, the showers are a little smaller than you may be accustomed to. The property is at the top of a medieval town with steep hills and very narrow streets that will not accommodate a mid-sized rental car. You’ll have to park in the town lot below. Stairs on the property (and in the country in general) do not reflect North American building codes(obviously), so watch your step. Your legs will burn on these hills, no joke.
This house is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in rural Tuscan culture and daily life. Excellent resources for day to day just down the hill, and if you need more, it’s no more than a 10 minute drive away.
We’d return in a heartbeat. Grazie Mille Marco!
We were three adults, each had one bedroom, the small kitchen had everything we needed for cooking every other day, a couple of very good restaurants nearby, a perfect cozy garden, the countryside intresting, the beach only few minutes, the host friendly and helpful so for us it was 5 stars ( with 5 guests I believe it would be a bit crowded).
The host was amazing he met us helped with our luggage both in and out of the property
Its a very hilly area but beautiful
Great stay lovely little garden with lots of steps to get down but worth the effort
What a dreamy little place nestled in a fortress on a hill! The village is a labyrinth of beautiful historical cobblestone walkways amidst the homes built on a hill. Our stay in this little casa was just what our hearts needed to refresh us from our busy lives. Marco is an incredibly hospitable host. From start to finish he was willing to help us make our time in Bibbona truly memorable in the best way. We visited Bibbona in the off season for tourism but that did not stop us from falling in love with the little town. We spent hours reading in the little garden terrace. Truly a little oasis.
We had a wonderful week here in April 2024. The property was ideal for our family of four, and clean and spacious throughout. The outdoor area is the highlight, with several lovely sitting spots in a well-tended sloping garden. Great location in the town of Bibbona, and close to restaurants, bars, bakery, gelateria and deli. It was an ideal base for exploring Tuscany - near several good beaches and within day-trip range of Florence, Lucca, Siena and so many beautiful hill-top villages. Marco was a great host who shared lots of excellent recommendations for places to visit, eat etc. We hope to be back... highly recommended!
Beautiful and charming place from which to explore Tuscany
We enjoyed our stay at Marco's family home. The bonus is the beautiful terraced garden with several seating areas. As the house isn't that big, the gardens provided great additional space for gathering to eat and hang out. The house is right in town so it's easy to walk to the market or one of the several great restaurants. Marco the host was available to direct us to sites and to provide info on where to go for shopping and wine tasting. Even though you cannot drive right to the house (as you cannot in many of these old towns) there is ample parking nearby within a five-minute walk. Bibbona itself is a charming town and its nearby beaches are great. We hope to return someday!
This is an excellent property better than advertised. If you are interested in slowing life down and experiencing Tuscan life up close this is our choice.
Bibbona is a very small village and the house located at the top of the village has a wonderful view, a deck overlooking an accessible small garden and 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms . Perfect for our family of 4 travelling with adult children.Close to beaches and the Bogheri wine road there is lots to see and do within 30 minutes driving maximum.
Marco is an exceptional host who quickly responses to all our questions and shared his very helpful local knowledge. He even met us to drive us up the steep streets from the free parking lot in the square saving us pulling our luggage .
Also there are excellent restaurants all in walking distance including one for baked goods and fresh fruit salad just around the corner with view you will never tire of looking at.
Wonderful village house with beautiful little garden
We rented the whole house and it had everything we could want. A bijou dining / lounge and kitchen and large bedrooms. Whilst the kitchen looks small in the pictures, it has everything you need and there is a huge dresser in the dining room with glasses, plates and saucepans. The house was clean and well equipped. There are two bathrooms. The one downstairs is big with a modern jet shower. However, we used the upstairs one for convenience; this one is small but perfectly fine although it could probably do with modernisation. Best of all for us, the garden is an oasis. It is set on three levels and there are steep steps so care is needed. The garden has shady and sunny areas. It has roses, jasmine, geraniums, vines and even a cedro lemon tree all in a little space. It was blissful sitting in the garden and seeing the distant hills, watching the swifts flying whilst sipping wine. Marco is an excellent host with lots of helpful tips on where to visit and eat. Bibbona is a charming village which is still lived in by local people. It has a deli within a few minutes walk and several pizza places (we liked L'orto Etrusco which overlooks a ravine) and also a wine bar and several restaurants.
Bibbona is such a peaceful, charming village with the best food and people! And Marco’s place was perfect, especially his beautiful garden! Would stay here again!
Marco is a very sweet and nice young host, who told us everything, we need to know. His apartment in this lovely hilly village also is very sweet. Thanks :)

A lovely house
This is a house set in a small village. It does have lots of steps to reach the quaint gardens. A small kitchen and living area. Bedrooms. The host is willing to help and responds to messages.
We enjoyed an awesome stay in this charming house and picturesque garden! It represents the true flavor of Tuscany, away from crowds and noise, in a little piece of heaven...Although we also visited Florence and Cinque Terre, this little gem stayed the most in our hearts! Marco was an excellent host and everything we needed was provided. We are already looking forward to our next stay. 5+ STARS.

We had a wonderful week during our first stay in Tuscany. The accommodation is charming and very well equipped, and the two-level garden is lovely and pleasant at the end of the day! This village is well located, close to many attractions and near the sea.Thank you to Marco, the owner, for his warm welcome, kindness and helpful advice! We highly recommend this place!
