"Room was uncomfortably hot. Air con terminal stopped pumping out cold air about 3am and the room became unbearably hot. There was nobody to be found in the hotel and my family of four had to stand outside multiple times in the dark to get some air. We managed to get the kids back to sleep after several hours by placing wet towels on their back. We wanted to complain at check out but there was still nobody to be seen!! "We spent our honeymoon here and it was extremely special. Lovely and quiet which was expected as it was the shoulder season. We were upgraded which made our stay extra special. The restaurant serves beautiful food, the vegetables and herbs are fresh from the gardens around the hotel. The staff were incredible, our Italian wasn’t brilliant but we all made an effort and were able to understand one another. Definitely recommend this hotel if you like your hiking and cycling, or just relaxation!"
