This place was ideally placed close to the ferry and many good restaurants. Does get quite busy outside the windows so if sensitive to noise, I would suggest ear plugs. Overall excellent stay!

The hotel and room were very clean The location is fantastic with lots of places to eat and get gelato. Piazza San Marco is so close (3 min walk) The breakfast included in my package was terrific I would stay here again in a heart beat

Great location! Bed was comfortable, AC worked great. Breakfast was all you need with great service. Only complaints were that the bathroom just had a shower curtain with a drain. Flooded the bathroom every time we showered, and it was a little noisy from the restaurants below the hotel. Overall great stay!

Great place, good location. The AC was broken in our room on the first night and it was way to hot. The staff provided us with fans and luckily changed our room for our second night. The area directly outside is very loud in the early morning.

Excellent Hotel! Nice fresh room and very clean. Breakfast was excellent with many choices - hot and cold. Location is excellent - in the heart of the San Marco minutes from Piazza San Marco. Located on a nice little Campo (square) with many restaurant choices. Windows are insulated so significantly reduce outside noise. We really enjoyed our stay at the Rio!

Pros- great location, minutes walk from Piazza San Marco, has several restaurants right beside it, breakfast had multiple options Cons- there was a very bad smell in the foyer and hallways ( perhaps from the nextdoor restaurants), the AC was not turned on even though we were there during a very warm spell (they did offer us a fan), noise from restaurants was fairly loud at night
