Not a 4-star hotel.
Although this hotel was by no means bad, I absolutely would not consider it to be 4 star by any stretch of the imagination. It was incredibly tired and worn down and was in need of decoration. The attitude of the receptionist upon check in was not at all what I would expect of hotel staff. It was not at all a welcoming experience and almost as though we were bothering his day by checking in. Breakfast was a fairly limited range and the three of us were put on a table for two. The morning staff were extremely friendly and helpful though. The beds were also extremely comfortable, and the rooms were kept very clean.

Hotel wasn't exactly where i thought it would be. Advertised as St Marks square though was a 10 minute walk. Check in was a bit chaotic, where they couldn't find my booking, which is not ideal after an 8 hour drive and on checkout requested full payment even though had paid upfront. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, though scrambled eggs did not appear to be freshly cooked. Serving staff did the best they could in the circumstances and were accomodating with additional requests. Room was lovely, decor was slightly dated but generally clean. Bath/ shower could do with some TLC
