"We picked this hotel to be able to use the hot tub after a 9 hour drive. The pool area was nice. Hot tub was working as expected. Breakfast was good. It had a nice assortment of food choices. Food was warm. Juice/coffee selection was good as well. Parking was convenient. The walls did seem a bit thin, it was pretty noisy the night we stayed. We could hear pretty much everything in the halls, and rooms around and above us. Not the hotels fault that the room above us was stomping around at 2am, but it did interfere with sleeping a bit. I will warn to check your alarm clock in the room. We did not set it, but it went off at 6 am. :/ I would stay here again, but maybe ask for a room on an upper level if possible to maybe help with some noise."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Red Lion Inn and Suites in Urbana, Illinois, feeling appreciated that we chose to stay there. For us having the option of a room with a sliding glass door that opens onto a grassy area with trees and a picnic table was nice. We liked being able to open the room up and have fresh air. The grout in the tiled bathroom was clean which takes effort. The shower was adjustable to 2 different heights. We had never seen that before and felt it would be helpful if you were travelling with children. Additional space in the bathroom for toiletries would be helpful. The breakfast team used gloves to restock toast and muffins. They also restocked the eggs in a new pan rather than topping off the existing one and swapped the full trash can for an empty one instead of changing the liner near the food. The hotel provides a shuttle service for guests. We were able to leave the car at the hotel, take the shuttle to the Amtrak station and get picked up when we returned from Chicago four days later. Another plus is a heated indoor pool that is available to guests and the community. There was an exercise class in the pool one morning. While we were in Chicago, a small restaurant opened in the lobby and future plans include a small art gallery. There are more upgrades to come. Staying here is a wonderful way to support a small business owner who genuinely wants his guests to enjoy their stay."
