"We stayed for a week and a half from Christmas through the New Year and we cannot recommend this place enough! From the 81 steps it was the perfect stay for us and our pups! The fireplace in the house was gorgeous and it was nice overlooking the River everything morning and being so close for a cozy afternoon by it with a fire! Highly recommend :) the beautiful kitchen and porch were great for nights to stay in and cook at home!"

To top it off, Rick and Janet are amazing hosts. Such great hospitality during our stay and communication before our arrival was perfect. "We had a wonderful stay at this Blue Ridge cabin! The home was in great condition and very well appointed. We really appreciated the thoughtful starter supplies in the kitchen, as well as the fully stocked bathrooms—having shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available was such a nice touch.The hot tub was a big hit with our group—spotlessly clean and even stocked with a special basket of towels. The kitchen was also very well equipped with cookware, which made meal prep easy. (A small suggestion for the owner: a few extra serving bowls or platters would be helpful as you continue to build out the supplies.)The home had abundant parking—a definite plus in this area—and we loved the great grill on the deck for our gameday burgers and hot dogs! The kids enjoyed the board games and activities, which made the stay even more family-friendly.A couple of notes for future guests: there isn’t a bathtub in the home, which we didn’t notice when booking and found a bit tricky with our youngest guests, but we made it work. Also, due to how the house sits, there isn’t much of a mountain view—but the beautiful fireplace and lovely covered outdoor areas more than made up for it.The owner was very responsive, but I would have appreciated a brief welcome guide or email with check-in/check-out instructions. A simple one-pager would make the experience even smoother.Overall, we had a great stay and would happily recommend this home for families or groups looking for a comfortable, well-"
