Springbrook Lyrebird Retreat
10/10 Excellent
"Another blissful stay at this incredible property, nestled in Gondwana rainforests. "
Tree House #4 Red,Private three levelled building with BBQ ,Smart TV, kitchen
2/10 Terrible
"SCAM!!
This property owner is a scam!!
Once you book you will be contacted by the owner who then depends to have a copy of your id and credit card regardless of payment already being made via Expedia.
You then get money taken from your account and then when you finally get to site you have to attempt to contact the owner non stop to get the lock box code otherwise you are locked out! 3 guest were waiting in their cars with no response from the owner. Once you check in they continue to take money out of your bank card you have given them with false claims. Once you kindly ask them to check the cameras and corfect them they stop responding!
I have put this publicly on my Instagram and within 45 minutes I had 8 strangers say they have also done the same thing to them and stolen their money!!!
Please be careful!! The owner will scam you!!
The room they give you is also not the same as described on the booking! If you want to use amenities listed on the booking such as a pool etc then they charge your card again!! Absolutely appalling. Do not book here!!

TREE HOUSE #1. Private, stone bath with amazing views of Gold Coast Hinterland
4/10 Poor
"If you are looking for an experience then stay here, if you are looking for luxury, look elsewhere. It's 15mins to town.Nice communal pool overlooking the Gold Coast.Communal seated area near it but it was covered in geese poo, not here and there, it was everywhere. There are goats, alpacas, peacocks, chickens, & geese. They are all friendly. They do know what the sound of the food container is and will come straight to you. There is also a dog running around. We stayed in Treehouse 1. Looks unfinished inside.Bath was beautiful and overlooked the GC skyline, however the light was on a timer. You have to sit still for 10minutes to let the light go off to see the skyline lights. If you move it will come back on. Would be nice to have a dimmer instead. Poor design of the shower downstairs. Only a curtain (stained) and no lip to contain the water. Water goes all over the floor. The bottom floor single couch/beds were comfy, however the main bed was as hard as rock. I had to sleep downstairs on the single beds while my husband slept up stairs on our wedding anniversary. Cleanliness was not great. Dead bugs in the windows. The windows didn't look like they had been clean for a while. The dust on surfaces set off my allergies. The kitchen dishes are to be washed by previous people, and they were not. We had to wash before eating. Sheets had piling on it. 3 floor mats but no hand towel. Assorted beach towels for shower/bath. Not worth the expensive price."
"Lovely cottages with beautiful outlook. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved seeing so much native wildlife on the property and not far from shops in Mudgeeraba."
