"Honestly, it was just okay. Based on the previous reviews, I guess expected better. There was nobody hardly ever at the front desk, no coffee pot in the lobby area which would be nice considering the one in the room was very small. Plus, not sure when it was cleaned last. There was a place to wash off feet when coming from the beach but we couldn’t get the water to turn on. The pool wasn’t open yet. There was no stopper for the tub. There’s a lot of damage in the area from Hurricane Erin last year. Not sure we would stay here again, The lighthouse is currently being renovated and if we had been aware of that we might have drove that far into the island. Climbing up to the watchtower was cool. Memories were made though and it wasn’t all bad. "

"Property was suffering beach erosion after the winter and early storms on the Oceanside. But spectacular view from room and deck on the Oceanside. We should have asked them for a regular coffee pot. Very disappointed that the hot tub was not even warm. We went for beach horseback ride and for 62 yo we sure could have used it. Mgmt tried to get propane for hot tub . But just couldn’t. "

"The view was amazing but I booked early to get a ground floor. There was alot of beach erosion and they moved us to a top floor. I asked if we could have the ground floor and they said no! Im handicapped so it was a problem! When the people came in Friday night and we were leaving Saturday morning they said no one asked them or they definitely would have switched with us!"

"Although we made the best of the circumstances and it was a short trip, we were quite saddened by what we found and the condition of the beach. It was advertised that this location was just 1 minute walk from the beach, and that is correct. But what is not told is that the beach is unusable due to beach erosion. A lot of debris and concrete make it unsafe to even be on that part of the beach. The lighthouse was under repair and closed off. The park was full of broken houses that have fallen into the ocean. It was so sad to see and not a safe spot to visit. I understand it was kinda off season but many places were closed. If I had been informed of this, I would have changed my plans. I felt like we were deceived."

"Cheap, Clean and comfortable for a one night stay. Decorated nicely."
