This was a perfect pre-vacation stay! The room had everything needed for a couple day stay. And it was close to the beach!

Beach stay

Nice motel, clean and comfortable. Very close to the beach. Close to good restaurants and a few convenience stores.

Our stay is what was expected...average efficiency. They did make a late effort to replace and fix some things in the room. The access to the beach was great, pool and grounds were not kept clean. The room was clean overall. Definitely pet friendly. Very close to the Ferry. We would return!

Convenient to all of Hatteras Village. Close, a few walking seconds, from the beach. A nice private pool.

It was in a nice area. Had a lot of bugs crawling around the room. When we swept out the bugs there. Were balls of pet hair we swept up.

Location for our vacation was nice. However, service stinks. No fresh linens even after I asked early evening. Carpet was full of sand, which then got in bedding. tub did not drain fast enough to keep up with shower resulting in ankle deep bath.

I came out for work the next day but those plans were cancelled due to 8 inches of snow! Fortunately, the room was great. Rome was warm and comfortable even though they're generally is no staff at this location. I would definitely stay again.

This was a great stay! The room was bright and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was so convenient, even though we only stayed one night. Beach access was outstanding. This would be perfect for an extended stay. The only negatives : coffee maker didn’t work and the sink and shower soaps needed refilling. Overall, a great value and place to stay!

Spacious lovely super close private beach access. Its simple, inexpensive, modern not old, king size rooms are accommodated with a full kitchen. The pool is lovely as well! It’s a nice hidden better deal than a lot of the more expensive stays. The space and nature that surrounds it make it more peaceful than a crowded resort building. I will not forget it, in the event I’m in this area spending the night again.

Was great but wish our AC worked better and that the room had curtains. The light outside still came through the window and it was very bright. Location is amazing. Easy proximity to beach. Dog friendly. Quiet and secluded. Overall was a great family trip.

Excellent!

The Sea Gull is a basic beach motel. It was clean and comfortable! If you’re a person who likes to hang out in a luxurious room, this isn’t for you but if just want a clean, decent place to land over a day at the beach this is it!

Last minute trip to the outer banks. Hotel check in was easy. The tv had a black dead spot on the left side but that was fine as we were there to enjoy the beach

Beach was right over the dune from the property. Safe, easy to access and quiet. Not very fancy, very little ‘staff’ around, but we weren’t looking for anyone to take care of anything for us, so that was ok. Bed was comfy and we had plenty of room. More chairs/seating inside would be nice and an additional lamp or two. Having the little kitchenette was delightful. Not pristine or new, but comfy enough for a brief beach stay.

Got to location. Asked for a first floor room. The room was on second floor, not cleaned, beds not made. After numerous calls, they finally put me in first floor room, that had been cleaned. I have stayed at this location numerous times. This is my time having issues. I sincerley hope they do better in the future

The property was dismal. The room was ok. The site represented an ocean view. There was no such view. The room has not been cleaned very well we needed to sweep and clean up sand and bugs. The bedding was fine. It was a good enough place to stay for one night

The positive: it was ocean front and a short walk into the beach. The pool was clean and well maintained. The negatives: the bed had huge indentions and sank when sitting on it. You were sleeping in a hole. The pillows were good. The main a/c was broken and they had installed a window unit and you couldn’t shut the blinds because you’d block the air so everyone that walked by could see you. It is a pet friendly place and I knew that and I’m allergic to dogs. Usually I don’t have a problem because they clean the rooms. Our room had tons of dog hair everywhere. You couldn’t sit anything down without it getting on it. I think the only thing the cleaning person did was change the sheets and put out clean towels before our stay. There’s no way they swept. There was a broom in the rooms and we swept and got up enough dog hair to make a wig. This is not acceptable. They need to make sure they clean the rooms better. It made me very sick.
