We liked the rocker glider on the deck so much that we ordered one to be delivered when we got home as did our besties who were traveling with us. "We loved the house! Upon entering, the first thing that came to my mind was "WOW, what a steal!" Picturesque views and the proximity to town made our vacation so enjoyable! Loved the little path down to the beach, definitely wish we had done that more. Just a few downsides though. The bed wasn't that comfortable for us, but that's just a preference for a firmer bed. Also the "paperwork" was a bit much and a little annoying. Other than that, we had a very good time and highly recommend this...

"We had the opportunity to stay at this amazing house with my family and friends for our 4th annual fishing trip. The house had everything we needed to accommodate 5 adults and 3 kids. The location probably cannot get any better than that. It’s located right next to the opening of main lake access. Fish is jumping everywhere. We brought 4 bass boats and the house had parking for our truck and trailers as well as a big boat dock to fit all the boats too. Highly recommended and we hope to stay...

"This home is stunning and exceeded our expectations. Views are amazing from the home and the walk to the cliff is perhaps 2 minutes and the beach just a few minutes more. The area is serene and at most you see a few joggers or a couple other people hiking. The office was a perfect place to take a few morning calls before a lovely breakfast on the beach. We didn’t cook a full meal (we picked up chowder and crab sandwiches in Bodega Bay to bring up with us), but the kitchen was well appointed...

"The location of this house is stunning. It's on a peninsula that sticks out in to Clear Lake, and then it itself is on its own little rocky promontory that sticks out from the peninsula. The house is about 50 feet up from the lake. The upshot of this is that you get an amazing view of the lake from sunrise to sunset, and due to it sticking out to the lake a bit, a lot of the local birds use the updraft it creates. "The house and location are excellent, quite comfortable and well equipped with easy acces to wonderful beaches. The house host is EXTREMELY considerate and polite. My ONLY negative, which is no hindrance to a return visit, and accounts for the 4 star rating on "accuracy of online listing" is that the accompanying photograph suggests an on-the-bluff location and view for this "ocean view home". Such a view does not exist from this home. A more accurate photograph is recommended. G.S."

"If you are looking for one of the best views on the Mendocino coast, while seated on your own deck, surrounded by 3 acres of peace and quiet, look no further. The cottage is exactly as advertised. Simple, clean, nothing fancy but very comfortable. "This is a new place… in the property where Blackberry Inn was located. It is 2 minutes from town and this location can’t be beat. The grounds are great, and once this place is finished, I would say it would be the best place to stay. We are ‘old’ groupies from the heritage house days, but it has changed and not for the better. Mendo Bungalows will be the ‘ place to be’. "
