"We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building."

"The houseboat was amazing! It was incredibly serene and quiet, making it a wonderful place to relax. We were not far from Aalsmeer, which is a lovely town to explore. We took taxis to Hoofddorp, where we could easily hop on the train to travel around the area.The houseboat itself was spacious and comfortable to move around in, and both the beds and couches were very comfortable. "We had a wonderful stay with Deep and Julie on their Catermeran. We enjoyed some wonderful sailing and anchored near an Island for the night. We had a lovely evening sharing stories over dinner and watching the sun go down! I was impressed how warm and cosy the boat was and how well we all slept! Waking up surrounded by nature and beautiful scenery in the morning was very special and we enjoyed basking up the sunshine before setting sail. It was a great adventure for both children and adults...

"Clean room, helpful staff— my only complaint is how hot the room was and a broken shower that only sprayed out extremely hot or cold water. Not the staffs fault tho because I didn’t say anything. Other than that it’s a great distance from the city and in an amazing location."

"Room was ok, shower had some leaks but nothing crazy a towel couldn’t deal with. The location is great it’s away from everything besides heating the train pass by. Room was clean when I got there buy they came to clean it. I tell you what though ac sucks. Would I go back again… I’ll probably try somewhere else . The social hub which is 2 stops closer was better on my last stay but you gotta deal with homeless and suspicious ppl when leaving that stop"
