Beautiful gardens, but let down by details

Villa Tupai has beautiful gardens and lovely traditional timber buildings, but is let down by the staff and details. The staff have a bad habit of lingering around when they are not needed and with a huge area of gardens and living areas, choosing to wait all day until you are in an area to come and clean around you, spoiling the peace and quiet. We spent the majority of the day out of the villa, but they would choose the hours that we were there to do their work. The beds are getting old and saggy and the loos are getting old and stained (not pretty). A little bit of time and money spend on upkeep would go a long way. Two of the aircon units were not working while we were there, I can understand one, but two? That said, the villa can be very peaceful (when the staff go away) and the gardens and pool are amazing.

Beautiful swimming pools and bedrooms

Lovely hotel with attentive staff. Much of the time we were the only guests so very peaceful. Apart from the multiple dogs and cockerels in the neighbouring village; the ear plugs provided were necessary at 4am. Breakfast nice. Swimming pools clean and picture perfect. Villa beautiful and comfortable bed and great outdoor bathroom with enough hot water. Wildlife interesting but not intrusive. TV needed the satellite working and the subscription paid up: as we had no access to international channels; a bit disappointing for a superior hotel. Enjoyed our brief stay very much.

Remote heaven

The location was a bit remote but this villa was amazing! It was beautiful and peaceful. I had a private pool, outdoor bathroom with shower and bathtub and a patio to have breakfast on. The architecture of the villa was handcrafted wood designs to make you feel like you're truly in Bali. The staff were wonderful as well. Friendly, accommodating, helpful. True Balinese hospitality. I only stayed a few days but I was sad to leave. I will definitely book this villa again next time I'm in Bali.

La catastrophe/ a disaster

Il ne s'agit pas d'un hotel mais de 3 villas privatisables dont 1 seule est termine Pas de restaurant, pas de bar, un cours piscine que pour la grande villa familiale non finie Travaux pour le reste Quartier tres isole, rien a proximite Nous avons passe qu'une nuit demandant le remboursement des 4 autres nuits, la proprio etait d'accord mais elle balade toujours Hotel.com Notre avis est donc negatif meme si la chambre est tres belle ca ne fait pas le sejour!!
