The people are the draw for the hotel. The restaurant ladies that have worked there for decades are proof of a good place. The man at the pool bar doing his best to use his english to welcome and chat with us. The housekeeping staff with smiles, manners and kind offers. The front desk reception with help and suggestions. People make the place.

Beautiful resort on the side of a valley. The pool was wonderful, food was great and staff friendly and kind. It is a 20 min walk to ubud, but you can also get a lift from the hotel. Lovely area across the main road with lots of restaurant options and beautiful villas. The room we had was a little dated but very comfortable.

Very nice place surrounded by nature.

Hotel is very nice in a forest like area. Very green and luscious trees. Staff are very friendly and they let you check-in early and check-out late if possible. Only downside the airconditioning wasn't really cooling the room properly.

Past it’s glory days

A badly worn out hotel, should have been decomissioned years ago. Pits broken in a dangerous way, pool missing tiles causing sharp edges. We had the suite, but the balcony floor was dangerously unstable and wobly. Friedly staff and restaurant was ok. Good location near Ubud center and free shuttle to center.

The room was OK but bathroom equipments are not maintained well. I stayed almost a week. I wonder how often my sheets were changed. The good part is the pool is big and nice and the atmosphere is authentic Bali.

Views were absolutely stunning. We stayed during wet season so weather was very rainy, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Food was great at hotel restaurant however breakfast options were limited, especially help-yourself options, but hotel was very quiet so we understood why we were better off ordering. Only other thing I can say is the photos on website need updating, Conditions of rooms, especially bathrooms, were fair compared to pics. Just wear-and-tear. But overall we were well looked after.

We stayed at the Bali Spirit Hotel in Sept 2023 and really enjoyed the hotel, its facilities and its close location to central Ubud without actually being in extremely busy Ubud town center! I walked it and its about 20mins long route following roads into Ubud from hotel - there is a quicker route through the Monkey Forest which I didn't walk but shaves off 10 mins apparently! Hotel factifies great - great breakfast - friendly and smiley staff as always and rooms amazing views over Cos River! Thumbs up here!!!

Great location. Bathroom wasn't very good. The hot water took about 10 minutes to get got. The shower head wasnt very stable and kept falling over in the holder. Kettle was broken and didn't work, had to get it replaced which happened on the first night. Staff were good about replacing it quickly. Phone in bedroom was not good, incredibly fuzzy and hard to hear anything. Safe in bedroom wasn't safe as there was a designated lock code to it, which anybody could read the sign and open themselves which defeats the purpose of a safe. Bed was massive and very comfy. Very clean. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't worth the money they charged.

Bali Spirit is an older property that could use some upgrades and cleaning of some outdoor areas of the property. Despite the dated furniture and treatments, the landscaping is lovely and there are many peaceful nooks in which to relax outdoors. Bali Spirit is very close and walkable to stores, restaurants and attractions like Monkey Forest and various yoga/Pilates studios. Checkin was easy and all of the staff was friendly and helpful. There’s also a large area for parking. This property has a lot of stairs- if you have any physical limitations, this may not be the property for you. The bathrooms are very small compared to other hotels and villas similar to Bali Spirit; however the rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Room is correct but really dark. Also no real ´door’ so better know that it’s just a ´lock’. Hotel is nice but getting old. But nice pool. Avoid breakfast, better getting it outside (poor quality to be honest).

Really enjoyed the rainforest atmosphere and the view! Beautiful place to stay and sociable staff. There could be a few minor cleanup improvements in the rooms (e.g a bit more scrubbing in the bathroom) but otherwise great!
