Great family stay, host was very accomodating and the room was very comfortable and clean. Great location central to many attractions. Would definitley stay again!
The owner was very welcoming and it the place had a great friendly atmosphere. The rooms was really clean, nicely decorated and spaces with everything you need. The stag Inn has great character and you can really tell the owners put their lots of love in the B&B
Room was great , bed very comfy, building really oldie worldie, Hosts super friendly ! Perfect location to get around the west country, would we stay again ? yes definitely....... thank you
We booked one night here to start our first family holiday tour of Cornwall. We could not rate this place anymore. A lovely friendly welcome amd stay. The landlord couldn’t have done enough for us and the newly refurbished room was first class. We were then treated to a wonderful full Cornish breakfast before leaving for our next stay. The most wonderful little gem
Travelling for business so booked this place. Unfortunately i hadnt realised the bar and restaurant was closed on Mondays. Wayne was there to meet me and kindly offered me a lift to somewhere and offered advice on the buses which stop right outside. So i turned it into part of the adventure and headed to Falmouth for my tea. All easy and convenient. The morning breakfast at the Stag was simply amazing ! I woukd definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone in the area.
We loved the room that we stayed in. It was recently decorated in greys and pastel pinks. The room felt spacious and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was large with a separate bath and shower. The full English breakfast was cooked to order and as you would expect but I would have liked the option of fruit or rolls or pastries. The owner was courteous and friendly. Unfortunately, what is essentially a pub with rooms no longer has a menu for lunch or dinner but has a visiting "van". We had va very nice evening meal at a pub a couple of miles away, recommended by the owner.
We looked at the reviews from others and are shocked, we are very particular in our stays…this place was absolutely 10/10 spotless clean and the owners were very welcoming. The bar was serving and the live music was lively. People locally are so friendly…we will definitely book in the winter months. Thank you for the privilege of staying. Dr Dillon and family

Bad management issues.
No one to open hotel. Stood I cold waiting outside in rain.
No food available. No breakfast provided as promised.
Arrived on a Monday never was it mentioned on Hotels.com that the pub is closed. Panicked a bit but we did get in. Had to drive out 1st night for food. Room was recently decorated & very nice, however they only had a convector heater & this to forever to warm the room & it was February. The bathroom was ridiculously cold as only a towel rail that did not do anything. Brand new TV in the room but to.use you had to connect to internet this was hopeless. On our way out to carpark there was no light my wife fell over lip of gate & bruised her leg & ankle. We mentioned at breakfast next morning which was excellent quality cooked by Carmen. When we arrived back from day out next day we saw owner Wayne & when I told him of our issues he showed lack of care. He said they had a light but did not use due to neighbours 😕 What if wife had broke leg? Told him about TV no mention oh I will take a look?
Saying that tho 2 other nights food cooked by Carmen was seafood superb. Burger locally sourced lovely. In the bar we chatted with locals who were lovely & friendly. Its strange as we would return they just need more time maybe to sort issues

I booke for a short break as weve had some sad times recently. The website looks great with lovely food clean moder rooms. But after a terrible journey with car and us being recovered home my wife said we will stay home. But I convinced her we will go in our other vehicle so we can be there 1730 ish and havd a brew nice evening meal a drink before retiring to bed. We arrive to a nice welcome good car park with number plate log in. But unfortunately thet have street food traders come in and we were told the chef is on way so we waited then wend down again to be told chef should be here but not replying to messages or answering phone. And advise was to go for food elsewhere. Defeated my plan so we had to drive to another pub for food and a soft drink for myself as i do not drink and drive at any level. The breakfast was ok but ive had better at a roadside van as most other than eggs and toast seemed microwaved as we could hear the pinging of the bell on microwave. So probably precooked and reheated.
The room was freshly decorated, new carpet and ensuite. The hot tap was loose as was toilet lever but not unusable. We had room 2 with good WiFi but an extender just outside our door which we didn't need. TV has basic stations no Freelview so remember your Netflix etc login details if you have it. Our room overlooked the road but the double glazingand good curtains eliminated the low noise well and we did sleep well. Although we did have a hectic stressful day. Will we revisit ? No.
