"Staff was wonderful! Helped with all our luggage and gave a comprehensive overview of the facilities and our amenities. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We reserved the private outdoor onsen and it was everything we wanted/needed to relax after five days in Tokyo. The dinner and breakfast was excellent! The pacing of the meals as well as the clearing of used dishes felt very relaxed and natural. We did not feel rushed at all. We will definitely come back in the future and stay multiple nights!"

"Beautiful hotel, the monks attending are really nice, definitely go to the morning ceremony, it is worth it. This is near everything and very centric to all the landmarks nearby. The "beds" are pretty hard since its traditional, but its manageable for a night or two. Meals were really good, definitely don't skip them and take the chance to eat traditional monk meals. "

"Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The hotel is located in a very quiet area. The cleanliness and service/staff are excellent. The hotel has a shuttle service that takes you to the train station. Unfortunately, it only runs until the afternoon. The connection to Kyoto is okay. The natural surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, and you can be in the forest in a few minutes. This hotel is perfect for people who want to get away from the big cities."
