The "beds" are pretty hard since its traditional, but its manageable for a night or two. Meals were really good, definitely don't skip them and take the chance to eat traditional monk meals. "

Unfortunately, it only runs until the afternoon. The connection to Kyoto is okay. The natural surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, and you can be in the forest in a few minutes. This hotel is perfect for people who want to get away from the big cities."

"Tucked away above the bar/cafe, this onsen was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were very traditional in the Japanese style, and we had access to the entire area as we were the only guests staying on that night. The staff were completely lovely and helpful. The showers and toilets were well kept and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect to walk around and explore Koyasan. Definitely worth a visit!"
