Neat and clean. Asked to change from first room as it smelt of room freshener. I was able to change to another room which was much more suitable. No problem changing.

It was a very clean and nice room, just a bit noisy being in a main road. The motel also boasts a free mini bar but this was empty. A pleasant stay anyway

I stayed for 2 nights in a queen room. The interior looked like it had been recently refurbished and the bed and linen were good. The air conditioning worked well and was quite quiet. I will stay here again next time I have to come to Toowoomba.

Said pet friendly on website so booked through Wotif. Got there and don’t guarantee pet friendly room. Could not get money back. Man at reception rude. Can not get through to Wotif either.

I really like that the staff always find a secure place for me to park my motorcycle. The staff are respectful, polite and friendly and just generally very nice.

This is an older style motel. It was very clean and the room and beds perfectly adequate for a one-night stay. Some of the other guests were a bit noisy, and sound penetrated. Staff encountered were friendly and polite.

This was possibly the cleanest little motor inn in which I’ve ever stayed! It’s obviously been around for a long time, but has been up kept extremely well. Super clean bathroom, clean beds, new kettle, working air con/heater, a few free bikkies and milk for a cuppa, and good tv. The bathroom floor on the top level was pretty squeaky, and I think the motel is in the flight path for late night helicopters to the hospital, but those are the only negatives!

This was the second time staying at the Downs, affordable and convenient spit. This time we had a wedding party staying there as well and they had no respect for other guests coming home at 3.00pm and waking everyone up with there loud noise and banging doors etc. We would stay at the downs again however.

There was no hot water so my husband had a cold shower and I went without The source of the problem was found within an hour of notifying reception. While it was not the management’s fault we were not compensated in any way. Don’t expect monetary compensation but maybe milk for the second day of our stay and a second Tim Tam as there was only one for two people. On the up side the bed was extremely comfortable.

The property owners are amazingly friendly and very attentive. They are making constant improvements on the property and value your business greatly. It’s not the Hilton but it’s Quiet, comfortable, and convenient.

Convenient Comfortable Affordable
This would be our 2nd time staying with Downs Motel and, 2nd time happy with everything. Very comfortable and just overall pleased. Stayed 2 nights with early and late check-in and checkout. Sandy was very helpful and just a very nice family.

The area isn't pretty but it's easy walking distance to the town centre. The property was clean and the bed quite comfortable but it needs a little work done. The taps leaked and the shower head wouldn't stay up. For a basic, no frills stay it's about right but at $200 for a queen room I don't think you should have to ask for 2 sets of cutlery instead of 1. Why does no motel ever have towel rails instead of 1 hook?

The building is in need of some repair work. The front door to our Unit had a panel in the door requiring repair. For a budget motel, it was fine. The floor creaked, but everything was clean enough and for the price paid, we considered it value for money.
