"Pros: Wir (mein Mann und ich) hatten Anfang Oktober einen wundervollen Urlaub in Kärnten. Aufgrund des tollen Wetters haben wir die super schöne Ferienwohnung eigentlich nur zum Schlafen und für das Frühstück / Abendbrot genutzt. In der Wohnung ist alles neu, sehr sauber und gemütlich. Kein überflüssiger Schnickschnack oder kitschige Deko trüben das großzügige Flair der Wohnung. Wir konnten selbst im Oktober noch auf dem geschützten Balkon in der Sonne frühstücken. "Schön eingerichtet, außer morgens jedoch sehr dunkel. Terasse hat vormittags Sonne. Einladender Garten vorhanden! Nur Nachbarn nebenan, niemand drüber! Direkt an einem rauschenden Bach sowie nahe Schnellstraße und Bahngleise. Wer bei offenem Fenster schläft, sollte das wissen. Außerdem fehlen leider Fliegengitter. FEWO hat soweit alles, was man braucht. Inhaberin sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Toll ist auch die Waschmaschiene, die für alle zur Verfügung steht nach Absprache. "

"The hotel stay was excellent, my whole family of 4 (2 adults + 2 teens) loved this hotel. We booked a studio room (double bed and a bunk bed). Room was very clean with a small kitchen area, dining table and a sofa. It is close to ski station and many eateries within walking distance. The reception area at level 4 was superb! You can just sit and relax at the lounge area there, relaxing and enjoyjng the beautiful mountain scenery. Our boys loved to play chess at the lounge area. There is on-site parking, laundry facility and vending machines selling drinks and snacks. The reception staffs were all very courteous and approachable. Highly recommended!"

"Hotel Sonne is a comfortable hotel right in the center of Lienz, a quick walk from the train and bus stations. The interior of the building itself is definitely dated and a bit austere, but that really didn’t impact my stay. My room was comfortable and had a fantastic view of the mountains. The breakfast options were great, and I appreciated that breakfast itself started at 6:00 (I’m an early riser). The staff were friendly and accommodating. I didn’t have time to try the sauna or the gym, but I’m glad they were included. The price was fair and good value."

"Two sisters run this hotel and they are wonderfully kind and involved in making any stay here exceptional. The service is second to none. The breakfast is spectacular, with locally sourced farm to table products. They have a huge assortment of great tea and desserts available to guests. We didn’t hit the spa, as we stayed here during our time hiking in the Dolomites. It was a bit further out from some of the hotels nearer the hikes but it is absolutely worth it to be in such a beautiful place with such incredible hospitality. "

"Entire upper floor is for your use. Three large bedrooms and two bathrooms. Very quiet—it’s a sheep farm. Hostess Sandra speaks excellent English and is very helpful. I loved the fancy coffee machine. It has a nice view over the whole town of Matrei. "
