"Its a great place to stay with lots of bars and restaurants near, just consider that the door is close from 12am to 5am so if you party a lot not the place , everything else 10/10 happy would def come back!"
"Amazing location, amenities, free perks, we even have our very own maiko show with free drinks, and the owners were very nice and happy to help with any questions. "
"Beautiful accommodation with all the extras. In a great location, walking distance to the market & lots of places to eat. We would definitely stay here again. The only drawback was the dryer took along time to dry, but the hotel provided a clothes horse which was handy. "

"Looved our stay! This hotel is honestly best of both worlds, property is very peaceful and beautiful, with rooms that match the aesthetic and made it honestly our favorite stay during our Japan trip. The hotel is next to a grocery store for all the easy convenience items and across the street from a Konbini. as well as a 2-3 minute walk from a metro station. We unfortunately didn't get to try the onsen but we did see lots of people down there, and the free amenities at our disposal (hot chocolate, ice cream, tea, sodas, etc) were all a very welcome treat after a long day out and about! My *only* comment would be that our room didn't have any views since we were facing the side of the building, in fact there was a structure just outside the window and behind that was the next building. That being said we didn't spend much time there during the day so didn't make much of a difference to us. If views are something that matter to you make sure you get a front facing room! Would definitely stay again!"
"Located only a couple of blocks from the main train station, this hotel was a great pick. Incredibly clean as you must take your shoes off at the entrance and roll your luggage through water before entering the lobby, and your room. The variety of hot springs baths you can choose from and the extras, such as evening noodles, ice creams and massage chairs make this a great place for families to stay. There are a number of reasonably priced restaurants nearby along with a token Don Quijote just down the street. Also on the same road as public buses 205 and 206 which take you to the tourist attractions such as the golden Pavillon. "
"We stayed at the Granbell Hotel in Kyoto for part of our honeymoon, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The hotel itself is beautiful — stylish, clean, and designed with a perfect balance of modern comfort and Japanese charm. Our room was elegant and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after long days exploring Kyoto.
What truly set our stay apart, though, was the staff. They went above and beyond to make our honeymoon feel special with thoughtful touches and warm hospitality that we’ll never forget. Every interaction felt genuine and kind, and it really elevated our whole experience.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Kyoto. Highly recommend the Granbell Hotel for anyone looking for comfort, beauty, and outstanding service and we will definitely be returning on our next trip to Kyoto!"
