"In a lovely spot overlooking the sea. Rooms are modest but well furnished with a modern bathroom. Although we did not have lunch or dinner there it was busy and well supported. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice only the weak coffee let it down. Would stay there again."

"The Number 61 Guest House was the perfect spot for our little trip to Newcastle. It's very close to Tynemouth station which meant getting into the city was easy - and Tynemouth itself is such a wonderful place to explore! The B&B was clean and tidy and everything was explained wonderfully by Steve. We arrived a bit before check-in time and had completely ignored all of the advice on when to arrive, dropping bags, etc. Still, the staff were fantastically helpful and accommodating, despite being busy running the Tea Room. The room was perfect. Very cosy and had everything we needed. Breakfast was superb! Would certainly stay here again. In fact, I'm sure we well!"

"Room was exceptionally clean with a very comfortable bed. One of the double glazed window units was blown and required replacing and the ensuite was a little tired and needed upgrading. Breakfast was very good, as was the evening meal. Staff needed chasing up not keeping up replacing side plates, and keeping coffee pots full. Staff were quick to apologise and bring out replacements. We will almost certainly visit again, despite getting a few things wrong the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There were plenty of parking spaces."

"A spacious property for our family for our weekend stay. Several extras including a full fruit bowl, milk , wine and butter and beautiful cheese scones added to the experience. Wi-Fi and TV instructions were very clear and easy to use. A variety of excellent local shops and easy access to the beach nearby met the needs of all family members."
