"The hotel is lovely. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Our room was large and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The bee shaped chocolates on the bed was a nice touch. The only downside was the noisy pub/bar opposite the hotel on Oxford Road, the music didn’t stop till 3am. Although this has nothing to do with the hotel, it is worth bearing in mind if you’re a light sleeper as the windows are not insulated enough to keep the noise out. "

"Very warm welcome to a beautiful hotel. My room, number 11 was gorgeous. It was spacious, clean and cosy with a roll top bath and large shower. There was an open fire crackling in the lounge and a delicious breakfast before leaving so very happy with my wonderful stay!"

This hotel desperately needs care and attention - flooring coming up in bathroom and a window which didn't shut properly, letting in street noise throughout the night. Heating left full on with no control to switch off. Walls were paper thin so could hear every word of adjoining room's conversation. "
