"I was in Grandy doing a project for Currituck County and didn't want the inconvenience of 60 miles a day to and from hotels, so I looked for a VROB and to my amazement I found the Currituck Cottage and wow what a place to have peaceful and beautiful sunrises and sunsets with views of the sound and wildlife it was fantastic. The inside was even more spacious and beautiful than most we go to , the kitchen has all the needs for a gourmet meal at home. Robert was so easy to communicate with and just a great time when not at work cant wait to return."

"Beautiful appointed, super clean, and well decorated room, with comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. Nice 3rd floor balcony with rocking chairs for morning coffee. The outdoor hot water spa/hot tub and gas fire pits were great amenities, as well as the on site restaurant with delicious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Beautiful resort next to a quiet beach. Overall a great stay with some minor issues: no Keurig coffee pot in your room - just a pot to heat water and prepare steeped coffee, which I don’t like, but they have a coffee bar with good coffee. Also had a minor issue with the bill but staff took care of it promptly. Outstanding customer service overall with courteous and attentive staff. Would definitely come back."

"This Tiny House was such a relaxing stay for us. We were able to bring our pup and enjoyed listening to birds on the expansive deck space. The deck decor was very comfortable as was the king sized bed. The kitchen was really clean and well stocked with clean dishes/utensils to prepare meals and the WiFi allowed us to stream Halloween flicks. With close access to the beach, we enjoyed walks and trips up and down the coast to check out local attractions and enjoy fresh seafood. Their water filter on the sink was fantastic for fresh drinking water and the bathroom very accessible, well equipped with clean towels. The neighborhood was really unique and quiet. We kept our pup on a leash and she enjoyed all the new smells on our walks. The care and details of this tiny house really showed a lot of pride in ownership -- from easy to use appliances to panoramic views of the trees, this property really stands out for us as exceptional."

"We had a great stay at the Grandy cottage. It was our first trip to OBX. We did ALOT in the 5 days/nights. I think we were lucky that is was "off season" because we didnt get stuck in too mich traffic, but it was a bit of a drive to anywhere we actually wanted to check out. This is no fault of the owner of the property, and we knew that well ahead and when booking! However it is something to be aware of when booking, depending where you might want to visit.We drove 1hr away almost every day. We got to visit Duck, Corolla, Wright Brothers, and Romanthe area. So much fun! The neighborhood itself was meh. I did not expect the cottage to be right next to two dumpy trailers. Granted they did not seem occupied, but they do sort of take away from the vibe of the other nicer houses/cottages right there. It felt safe enough and it wasnt a problem or anything. It just kind of took away from the overall feeling if the neighborhood and area. When you are paying premium prices similar to Duck prices right on the beach....not sure you would expect that. I hadn't seen that mentioned on any of the other reviews...I loved paddleboarding on the sound in the mornings, before my kids woke up. The neighborhood heron loves the small kyak dock area by the cottage and we had frequent sightings of it. The sunrise/sunsets were pretty.The cottage itself was very clean and very well detailed/themed. We didnt cook at all, but it seemed to have all the things. All in all, 5 starts from us! Thanks"

"We loved this house! It was perfect for our large family. It's very close to the ocean. The pool and hot tub were great! The hose access under the deck was perfect for washing off our feet after walking on the beach. Many hours were spent around the pool table. There was no foosball table, so that was a bummer. Our dog could fit under the fence around the pool so she couldn't be outside with us during that time. Those were the only negatives. We had an amazing vacation!"

"We stayed at Spin 1 over Labor Day Week and had a wonderful vacation. The property is truly beautiful and has so much to offer. The property had the quintessential OBX feel and perfectly captured the coastal charm of the Outer Banks. It felt "cozier" than other houses we've stayed at and we felt right at home. The walk to the beach is a breeze - less than a 5 minute walk. We brought our kids bikes and they rode to the beach, there is a bike rack at the beach access. The gated community is very small, and the private beach access was very quiet - we were the only ones at the beach every day. The pool was wonderful for our kids, and the 1 acre property was perfect for our dogs (an added bonus that the property was pet friendly!). We can't wait to stay here again!"

"The house was beautiful, with a great view out over the water, especially at sunset.The house was clean and well kept, with plenty of space to hang out and rest. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great, and we had no complaints.We cooked some meals and we found the kitchen well stocked with cookware and with plenty of plates and utensils. The host was quick to respond when we had questions, and was able to help with everything we needed, even sending someone over to address an issue we had.We had a wonderful time at the house, and would highly recommend it,"
