Private Waterfront Retreat: Escape the Crowds. Reconnect with Nature - Grandy

10/10 Excellent

"I was in Grandy doing a project for Currituck County and didn't want the inconvenience of 60 miles a day to and from hotels, so I looked for a VROB and to my amazement I found the Currituck Cottage and wow what a place to have peaceful and beautiful sunrises and sunsets with views of the sound and wildlife it was fantastic. The inside was even more spacious and beautiful than most we go to , the kitchen has all the needs for a gourmet meal at home. Robert was so easy to communicate with and just a great time when not at work cant wait to return."

The Sanderling

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful appointed, super clean, and well decorated room, with comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. Nice 3rd floor balcony with rocking chairs for morning coffee. The outdoor hot water spa/hot tub and gas fire pits were great amenities, as well as the on site restaurant with delicious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Beautiful resort next to a quiet beach. Overall a great stay with some minor issues: no Keurig coffee pot in your room - just a pot to heat water and prepare steeped coffee, which I don’t like, but they have a coffee bar with good coffee. Also had a minor issue with the bill but staff took care of it promptly. Outstanding customer service overall with courteous and attentive staff. Would definitely come back."

Tiny House. King bed. Queen bed. Quaint Neighborhood Beach!

10/10 Excellent

"This Tiny House was such a relaxing stay for us. We were able to bring our pup and enjoyed listening to birds on the expansive deck space. The deck decor was very comfortable as was the king sized bed. The kitchen was really clean and well stocked with clean dishes/utensils to prepare meals and the WiFi allowed us to stream Halloween flicks. With close access to the beach, we enjoyed walks and trips up and down the coast to check out local attractions and enjoy fresh seafood. Their water filter on the sink was fantastic for fresh drinking water and the bathroom very accessible, well equipped with clean towels. The neighborhood was really unique and quiet. We kept our pup on a leash and she enjoyed all the new smells on our walks. The care and details of this tiny house really showed a lot of pride in ownership -- from easy to use appliances to panoramic views of the trees, this property really stands out for us as exceptional."

Beach Cottage, in Grandy, on the Currituck Sound in Outer Banks Mainland

10/10 Excellent

"We had a great stay at the Grandy cottage. It was our first trip to OBX. We did ALOT in the 5 days/nights. I think we were lucky that is was "off season" because we didnt get stuck in too mich traffic, but it was a bit of a drive to anywhere we actually wanted to check out. This is no fault of the owner of the property, and we knew that well ahead and when booking! However it is something to be aware of when booking, depending where you might want to visit. We drove 1hr away almost every day. We got to visit Duck, Corolla, Wright Brothers, and Romanthe area. So much fun! The neighborhood itself was meh. I did not expect the cottage to be right next to two dumpy trailers. Granted they did not seem occupied, but they do sort of take away from the vibe of the other nicer houses/cottages right there. It felt safe enough and it wasnt a problem or anything. It just kind of took away from the overall feeling if the neighborhood and area. When you are paying premium prices similar to Duck prices right on the beach....not sure you would expect that. I hadn't seen that mentioned on any of the other reviews...I loved paddleboarding on the sound in the mornings, before my kids woke up. The neighborhood heron loves the small kyak dock area by the cottage and we had frequent sightings of it. The sunrise/sunsets were pretty. The cottage itself was very clean and very well detailed/themed. We didnt cook at all, but it seemed to have all the things. All in all, 5 starts from us! Thanks"

🌊 Ultra-Luxury OCEANFRONT | Private Heated Pool🏖️Hot Tub & Unmatched Views!

10/10 Excellent

"Salty Treat is a gorgeous place with such beautiful views of the ocean and the sound, making for spectacular sunrises and sunsets. We had everything we needed, the house was very clean, and the heated pool was nice and warm. We loved the attention to detail, the organized kitchen, and the comfy beds. Our family will likely rent this wonderful place again."

OCEANFRONT, Ocean Views, Pool, Hot Tub, PI202, Turtle Key

10/10 Excellent

"Some have complained about the cleanliness of the house. We found it to be well cleaned if a bit of the inevitable staining and wear that comes with a pets-allowed house. We have stayed in much worse, and given that it was end of season, we were very happy; as was our dog getting to go to the beach. One ice-maker wasn't working and the cooktop needs to be updated. Brindley was responsive to get the cooktop back to working properly when a few of the burners wouldn't get hot. We stayed a week after the nor'easter blew through and the stairs to the beach were a bit wobbly but we appreciated the efforts made to have any steps at all. This was a second stay at this house, having stayed here around 10 years ago. We would have no concerns about making a third visit."
