"Clean, safe and you can not beat the beautiful ocean access, the three pool choices and the price for Outer Banks. Chair rental on the beach was so appreciated! Adam at the front desk was so helpful ensuring my decision to extend my stay was seamless. My critiques were the partial ocean view was really just seeing the dunes and a tiny bit of ocean beyond. The air conditioner was extremely loud and my real concern was the balcony to my room had an extremely loose railing with a deep crack in the concrete. It was a true safety hazard. I brought it to the attention of the front desk and maintenance was scheduled to take a look at it. I feel confident they will take it seriously."
"If you’re looking for the perfect dog-friendly getaway in the Outer Banks, I can’t recommend the Sanderling Resort enough. The entire experience feels peaceful, upscale, and incredibly welcoming, especially for dog owners.
One of the best parts is the private beach access, where you can spend the entire day relaxing with your pups. The resort sets up umbrellas and lounge chairs for you, making it so easy to settle in and just enjoy the ocean breeze together. It honestly feels like a luxury beach day designed for both humans and dogs.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful, bright, clean, airy, and incredibly well-maintained. Everywhere you look has that calm coastal vibe that instantly puts you at ease. The rooms and common spaces feel fresh and inviting without being stuffy.
The restaurant on the property is also top-notch. Great food, great atmosphere, and such a nice bonus when you don’t feel like leaving the resort.
If you truly want to disconnect, recharge, and have a relaxing vacation with your dogs, this place is 100% worth it. It’s one of those rare resorts that actually delivers the peaceful getaway experience it promises."
"Great pet and big kid friendly house on a quiet neighborhood street. We appreciated the primary bedroom king bed being very soft and comfy (we feel like rentals often have hard beds). The home was overall clean on arrival. The kitchen had adequate supplies for cooking. There were plenty of games and puzzles for rainy afternoons. The pool space was great and felt private. Easy walking distance to the south community pool/ tennis/pickle courts as well as a beach store, candy store, coffee shop, and couple of restaurants. Love the beach shuttle that can pick you up close by and drop you off right back at the house! The hosts were very responsive and took care of a couple of minor things within a reasonable amount of time. Note: There was an additional 125 pet fee not listed when we booked."
Pine Island Oceanfront Private Pool, Beach Access!
2/10 Terrible
"⸻DO NOT STAY HERE!!We want to share some concerns about our stay, as the condition of the property did not meet expectations.Upon arrival, the icemaker was not working—we had no ice when we arrived, and it has not produced any during our stay. The pool was also very dirty and had glow sticks left in it, which was disappointing. Additionally, there was visible trash around the property, and overall the home did not appear clean or well maintained. We were also surprised that only one towel per person was provided for the entire stay, which is not adequate. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were worn and balled up. Several blinds throughout the home are outdated, do not function properly, and do not close. There are also maintenance issues, including a TV’s in several bedrooms that do not work. Spiders all down stairs with webs. Overall, the property feels in need of updates, better upkeep, and more attention to guest comfort. Unfortunately, we were EXTREMELY disappointed with the quality of the home given our expectations."
Sea-renity: Spindrift gated community, private pool and hot tub.
8/10 Good
"Overall great stay. Beautiful great room space. Loved the easy walk to the beach and easy drive to the restaurants in Duck. House is starting to show its age and has a few places where it could use some love "
PI-4 "Don't Blink" Saturday-Saturday Private pool! Hot tub! Minutes to the beach!
8/10 Good
"The house was great! Very clean when we got there. The kitchen was great! Lots of counter space for all of the stuff we brought and room to prepare our meals. The only thing that we needed but didn't have was cable TV. We don't stream so it was hard to figure that part out. The walk to the beach was pretty easy too! And loved that the tennis courts we just a short bike ride away!!"
