"I didn't like that when I first arrived there, the staff try to sell me a membership for the resort. Besides that everything else was good, my room was in the renovated building, so I had a more modern room, compared to others. Beach was great, food was ok."

"This apartment is beautiful! It is on the third floor of a gorgeous villa. The views are spectacular. Spacious interior with good sized rooms and comfortable beds. The primary bedroom had an ensuite bathroom and the second room had two double sized beds with a large closet. Both rooms had plenty of closet space, and hangers if needed. Bathrooms were also stocked with a few basic necessities (razor, cotton pads, body wash, shampoo, etc). The outdoor pool was a great place to relax with lounge chairs, an outdoor bar area, and lights for night time. It is a shared pool with the other neighbors, but we had it to ourselves when we were there. Kitchen had basic items. It did include a coffee and sugar canisters. Mario, the maintenance man, was a fabulous contact person. He offered help with getting food, finding safe and trustworthy taxis, and carrying luggage up and down the stairs to the apartment. Mario checked in each day to make sure our stay was amazing and we had everything that we needed. The apartment is within walking distance of the Ocean World resort and a mini market with basic food items. We were able to get eggs, bread, beer, milk, and butter. Overall, everything about this apartment was great. The communication from the host and the maintenance man made things very easy for us during our stay, which was very helpful. This is a great choice is staying in Puerto Plata."

"Group of 15 (5 kids 11-16 & 1 vs 0 18)House: beautiful and clean. 6 rooms, each has a balcony and view of the oceanPool: Pool is nice and was cleaned twice a week. Hot tub was warmer than the pool and they made it hot when asked, which made it more fun in the rain.Staff: Fantastic! Absolutely amazing! The 2 ladies would cook/clean during the day time hours. Kept it very clean and cooked great. Individual meals or large family style meals. They had some favorite options written down to help choose. They would give us lists of ingredients and either us or them would buy. One person sprained her cancel and stayed home alone from an activity and they waited on her to the point she was super happy not to have gone on the activity. We had a few sick people and the staff was extremely helpful as well. A little Spanish helps (house manager speaks English well), but the staff is so kind and patient with this that Google Translate is great.The security guard was a great addition even though I thought we were pretty safe without him. The neighborhood seemed the safest in all of Puerto Plata.House Manager was very helpful with information, transportation and quick to respond. Their excursion guy was very helpful as well. "
