Very close to this somewhat isolated location is a fantastic little beach (Spiaggia Massolivieri). It is the nicest beach we have been to in Italy!

"The hotel is very central in the main town of Siracusa. Plenty of good restaurants on the doorstep and only ten minute walk from the station. Ortigia only a 15 minute walk away. The bathroom facilities and room decor are slightly old fashioned but all working fine. "

"This is a gorgeous resort hotel that has excellent service, beautiful location. The pool is next level gorgeous next to sea. Good dining. Excellent staff and concierge can book day trips. Just note that beach access is too rocky to swim. There are many stairs all around so hotel is not accessible. Also not much near by. Highly recommend. Very romantic destination. The spa was brilliant, well priced for all day access. The food was really tasty for breakfast and it’s on until 11am. Perfect tor lazy chilled days, they left rose petals on our bed as it was our honeymoon which was a lovely touch. It was a 35 minute walk from the centre of Syracuse and taxis are squirt expensive, there is a bus but we didn’t bother with it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Roof bar was chilled out. The private balcony only had two lounger chair and two of us stayed. I’d suggest having too to encourage more usage. "
