I hired the family room with 4 beds for a few nights and was pleasantly surprised. After staying at a similar spot last trip and being let down, I was expecting more of the same but was pleased overall upon checking in. The Almond Inn had a good central location to Peel St and other shops and eateries. As for the room, semi outdated decor but I will say the beds were super comfortable, but as there were 4, it felt like the beds were jammed in and not a lot of movement space. I could see the appeal in a 2 bed room with the comfort level and a little more space. Cleanliness was an 8/10. The shower pressure was average. Not the worst I've had in a hotel but not the best either. It did the job though. The only other minor irritating thing was the curtain over the small sized window. It was a thin see through material, there was nothing that could block out the light coming in. Had to improvise with a spare blanket. All in all, solid 3/5. Served it purpose nicely. Would stay again if I needed a room for more people and was looking to stick to the budget.

Room was excellent, affordable prices,clean and tidy renovated rooms ,comfy beds , Awesome shower and the owners were lovely and couldnt be more helpful . Definitely staying again in a few weeks time

Was extremely unhappy with booking this accommodation as they cancelled our room booking I made last year. They rang us and said there was a problem with there computer bookings yet they still had our details. Would not recommend this place at all . We lost work and a trip to Tamworth music festival because of them. Still very upset . ☹️

Property is a little tired and could do with renovations. May be some rooms that have been renovated that are pictured, but our room was quite old and in need of a freshen up. Was ok for our one night stay when you just needed a bed to sleep in.

Friendly reception free breakfast convenient location to city centre. Rooms show signs of lots of use maybe a freshen up is due in the near future.

I know there has been quite a few changes of management over the past year or two, so still some work to be done on the grounds. Having stayed in different rooms during that period, we are also aware that some rooms are more updated than others. The new managers seem very good and welcoming.

I don’t know how there are any positive reviews on this motel. Maybe there are a couple of renovated rooms that they use to advertise with. Our room stunk like damp, cigarettes and spilt beer. The stench hit as soon as you opened the door and did not get better. The bathroom ceiling was covered in black mould and is a legitimate health hazard

Almond Inn has been a favorite of country adherents for many years, particularly when owned and conducted by a well known rural family only about a decade ago. despite the age of the buildings the staff were country people and the dining room noted for its excellence. Comfortable although dated it was certainly a home away from home. Now, the staff again are very polite, helpful and considerate and although the restaurant is sorely missed I found my stay better than just reasonable.

Check in lady was nice and the check-in area was lovely but when went to room it was a different story. Cobwebs and 3 black spiders in window in bathroom, soap wrapper in shower, tiles coming off in shower under shower curtain, sink didn't drain, and wardrobe door came off when hubby opened it. window hadn't been cleaned as handprints on it, curtains on the back had stains or needing replacing. the air conditioner power cord went across mirror in bathroom to power point (WHS) I went and told the lady about the sink which she already knew about and the door, nothing was done to fix it also after 1 shower the shower wasn't running away either. The bed was comfortable, and location was good as it was close to what we were doing. A bit of love, care and attention it could be really nice. I would not stay there again or recommend it yes it was cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for.

I do recall you coming into reception to advise about the sink and the cupboard door, I did offer to send my Husband down to fix these issues but you advised me that it wasn't needed and to just address them once you checked out. You are quite right regarding the TLC and we are in the process of renovating our rooms.

Lovely and friendly staff, great value for money and continental breakfast included in the price. Will definitely stay there again when im in Tamworth. Couple of minor things .... floor wasnt vacummed properly and fingers prints on the mirrors ( from kids it looked like) rooms a liitle outdated but you could tell they were in the process of refreshing them. Overall was happy with the service and rooms, would recommend to friends

Looking for a short stay, and found The Almond Inn. Great place to stay. Convenient and best value around. Beds and pillows - OMG, better than most 4-5 star places I’ve stayed. Recommend for an overnight when travelling.

The bathroom had a horrible odour where I couldn’t use the water as the stench was horrid. The refrigerator was turned off with milk inside, and there was a vacuum full of dirt laying on the counter. I booked the Jetted Spa room to not get a bath at all. There’s no replies any any communication. Very disappointed.
