The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa

"The only issue that we had was the designated “Quiet pool”. While it is not exclusively adult only, the insinuation is that the will not likely be any kids. Children cannot be quiet, it’s not in their nature and therefore the property needs to find a way to either be more explicit when describing to guest the different pools. They should also somehow hire an extra security to patrol the area regularly if they are going to insist on having a designated Quiet Pool. During our stay multiple families brought their kids to the quiet pool and the parents who brought their kids were not actively monitoring their own kids behavior and were completely hands off. We tried the adult only pool, but the adults were acting like children throwing balls and one even knocked a drink out of my hand. This should also be monitored and discouraged by the hotel staff. All this to say, if you plan to stay here, lower your expectations for a relaxing quiet pool experience."

"Great location in downtown PS. Very slow and poor service as seem to be operating all the time with skeleton staff. Literally looked like there was no staff on hand. Rooms weren’t cleaned daily or towels exchanged. Front desk staff seemed bored and disinterested in doing their job for most part. Bar staff in hotel lobby were constantly awol and disinterested, very poor."

"The place is cute and right downtown. We did have a few negative experiences: - After an 8 hour drive it took us about 30ish minutes to find parking in the lot. - The door codes worked sporadically and we needed to request help after several attempts. - the adjacent room was incredibly loud, after arriving back to the hotel after 11PM. I reached out to the front desk, with no response for over 20 minutes. My son knocked on the guest’s door, and was met with an incredibly rude / mocking response. He then went to the front desk and was told that we should contact them first before taking our own action - which we had clearly done. The front desk person then finally saw the text after my son brought it to his attention. After requests from my son, he did come to their room to enforce the quiet hours. We needed to depart early in the AM and this whole situation was a major disruption on our day / trip."

"Nice little getaway with the family. We were accommodated with early check in and welcomed by staff. My son loved the pools and was convenient having our room on same floor as it. Only downside was hearing the footsteps from the upper floor. Other than that, great place!"
