The Ovolo is in a great location to explore Sydney Harbour. The hotel itself is a bit quirky having been a woolshed in the early 1900's. Sometimes things don't work perfectly, but that's part of the charm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel and the room was gorgeous but there had definitely seen better days in some places a little worn. There was also quite limited lighting in the room at night because of the bulb placement. However, it was a well placed hotel, and definitely worth the money.

The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. The hotel allowed for us to check in early, which was nice of them. The hotel cleric additionally invited us to eat the continental breakfast being served. I had paid for the breakfast online. However, there was a mistake and we were entitled to breakfast the following day, not on the day of check-in. I had already served myself and now I was approached by a hotel staff stating I owed them $42. The breakfast online was approximately $22. It’s a not appreciate being charged $20 extra when it was their mistake. Other than that, it was a very pleasant day

We were pretty disappointed with our stay. No one helped us with our bags either on arrival or departure. The bath in the room had rust around the plug. They couldn’t provide sparkiling water when asked and no real amenities near by to purchase from. I really wouldn’t recommend it for the price.

Nice enough hotel, although very outdated, for what they are charging it is not worth the price. Quite a few stains around the room, room service closes at 9 pm, also at night the bar area smells due to being on top of a wharf. If it was least expensive or given a much needed renovation you wouldn’t mind.

Fijn hotel in Woolloomoloo. Was hier in 2018 voor het eerst en had toen een hele mooie ervaring. Dat was het nu ook. Echter de tijden zijn veranderd. Nog steeds een zeer aan te bevelen hotel. Ietwat aan de prijzige kant, maar daar krijg je ook een mooie ervaring voor terug. Gelegen vlakbij de Botanische tuin, Potts Point en National Art Gallery in een rustige buurt van Sydney.

Check-in (and out) was super easy. The staff was attentive and super helpful. The loft suites are superb and spacious. The location is terrific. The restaurants on-site are top-notch. The interior is oddly cool. The downsides, though? Our door kept locking us out and we would have to go to reception, from the 5th floor using a relatively slow elevator, to get help to let us in. It would take an additional 10-15 minutes to get into our room (multiple times over a 3 night stay). It was a minor inconvenience, but the fact that we couldn't get a straight answer about why it was happening and the fact that it just kept happening was unfortunate. The only other downside? The hot tub was lukewarm (like 92 degrees at most). Not a biggie, but after all the traveling we had done, we were hoping for something a bit more....relaxing. That said, we just went into the bathtub with the complimentary epsom salts instead. Overall, I would easily stay here again and would recommend the hotel to anyone.
