They didn’t give new towels, just folded dirty towels. The carpets didn’t looked like they had been vacuumed since 1980. There was black mold along the baseboards, the top edges of the ceiling, and we heard others complaining about mold as well. There was a breakfast in room option… but they never took our door tag, and in fact put the breakfast tag BEHIND the do not disturb sign, something I found before we went to bed that night. However, based on everything else, I doubt the breakfast was worth the trouble. Given that the milk provided in the fridge for the provided tea was expired, as I found the first morning of the stay… I wouldn’t recommend the food. We were also not given notice of a festival on Bay Street, which made arrival to the hotel difficult and excessive loudness during a majority of the stay, one night the takedown of the event carried on with loud banging and beeping until 3 am. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the toilet ran constantly, the entire stay was atrocious. I also woke up with bites all over my legs, which I assume to be bed bugs based on the overall lack of cleanliness. After noticing the state of our room and the complaints of other guests, both overheard and from personal conversation, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.
