- Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
We had six hours between flights and decided to get an airport hotel - Comfort Hotel might have been the worst choice. As we realized, after the booking was confirmed, the front desk was closed between 11pm and 7am and our flight was scheduled to arrive Sydney at 6:10am, we contacted the hotel, twice, to arrange with getting our room key on arrival but received no reply. When arriving at the hotel at 6:45am the front desk manager refused to give us the key until 7am as, per his claim, the computers were booting up. It didn't matter I had the confirmation in hand with a copy of the receipt. When finally allowed to check in we were told check out was 10am and a $20 per hour fee for overstaying would be charged. We asked if we could have an extra 30 min free which the clerk agreed to. At 9:20am someone just opened our door without knocking and no apology was extended. The room was so tiny that if we would have had more than our carry-on we would have had to use the bed to open our suitcases. The shower and toilet was technically in the room, with just a thin screen separating the spaces. We have stayed at many Comfort hotels thru our careers - both my husband and I work in the entertainment/music industry - but none has been at such a low level. This hotel should not be allowed to use the Comfort logo nor use the name. This was a terrible let down and I would never recommend anyone to stay here.
