"I stayed 8 nights at the Grand Chancellor hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The staff were very friendly and helpful and responded quickly to requests. We stayed around Christmas time and received Christmas Card and gifts for the children. Such a nice personal touch for a festive time away from home. Location is excellent, walking distance to museums, ferries and pick up for day tours. The Tasman Restaurant served excellent food. We dined there for numerous dinners and the complex...

"Perfect location and perfect for solo or duo travellers and great for short trips. Tip if you are staying here bring headphones or earplugs for noise at night and don’t bring large suitcases or luggage (Also buy your own food and label it)"

"Close to Salamanca Place, as hotel nam suggests. Not a hotel room but a fully equipped 1 bedroom apartment, fabulous bathroom with both hydro bath and shower area plus washing machine, nice kitchen/lounge/diner with 2 plate hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Shall try booking again if I get back to Tasmania."
