"Very nice place"

"Good welcome from staff. Had to make a change to the room and it was completed in seconds. Bar was well stocked and not overpriced as some hotels. Didn't visit the gym as only there for one night."

"Ardoe House is a beautiful property, very much in keeping with it's history as a baronial mansion. The decor is lavish and made us all feel very posh! The rooms are very well appointed and clean. The bed was the most comfortable bed we had in our two weeks of travel, and the dining options were great. The included breakfast buffet was delicious and had so much on offer, it was hard to decide - luckily there was haggis!! The staff were all incredibly friendly and lovely to deal with. I would highly recommend this hidden gem."

"Lovely spacious room. Convenient parking and location. Food in the restaurant was mediocre and quite expensive; half of our party weren’t happy with their meals one night but the other night we ate there the standard was higher. "

"Our stay at Marcliffe was wonderful and felt truly luxurious. The staff went to every length to make sure we were comfortable. While there were small mix-ups with our breakfasts, the inconvenience was quickly overshadowed by the service of having the meal delivered to our room and the delicious cooked meals. It was so special staying here, and we would highly recommend it to our friends and family. "

"Everything about this place was top-shelf! From the wonderful entrance to the hallways leading to the spacious well-equipped rooms, to the excellent food in the restaurant and the smooth drinks from the bar. However the “Great Room” which is the oldest location of Maryculter House (dating back to the 1200’s) was simply amazing! Sitting quietly in the great room both late in the evening or early in the morning, you are overcome with the past and those who shared this room throughout the centuries! Walking the grounds is a relaxing experience to give you a break from the go, go, go of travel. We can’t recommend Maryculter House enough, and thank our friends who recommended it to us!"
